Open Call for Applications: 2023 ICH Associate Expert Program

CONTRIBUTED BY MINJI KIM

The International Information and Networking Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific Region under the auspices of UNESCO (ICHCAP) welcomes applications for the 2023 ICH Associate Expert Program. The key objective of this program is to support a person who wants to become a professional in the ICH field through an internship and research in ICH safeguarding. Through this three-month internship program, the participant will engage in ICHCAP’s various networking programs by working as an intern while having a chance to experience and meet ICH communities in Korea for an individual research.

Program Outline
• Number of Participant: one person
• Duration: three months (July to October 2023)
• Location: Jeonju, Republic of Korea

Qualification
• be an Asian professional who has more than two years of work experience in
   intangible cultural heritage, heritage management, cultural studies, and other related
   fields (bachelor’s degree or higher) OR
• be an Asian student in a higher education institute (graduate, postgraduate, or
   postdoctoral program)

• Application due: 1 to 15 May 2023, 11:59 p.m. (GMT+9)
