Please find attached for your interest, documentation on a new working group specifically on safeguards in the context of REDD. A first meeting was held on 28 February and their second meeting will be held on April 19.

- Xac dinh Khung chinh sach nganh lam nghiep va cac diem tiep can ban dau doi voi "cac tieu chuan" dong loi ich cua REDD+
- Gioi thieu ve 03 sang kien chu chot cua quoc te co the su dung trong qua trinh xay dung "cac tieu chuan" quoc gia
- Chia se cac bai hoc kinh nghiem tu "cac tieu chuan" quoc gia cua cac nuoc "tien phong"
- Trinh bay cach tiep can hai hoa "cac tieu chuan" chuong trinh quoc gia ve dong loi ich REDD+
- Xac dinh va phan cong cac hoat dong can tiep tuc thuc hien de trien khai tien trinh xay dung "cac tieu chuan" quoc gia
Xin phep duoc gui:
- ban tham chieu nhiem vu (ToR),
- ke hoach hoat dong,
- bien ban hop cua cuoc hop khoi dong
- chuong trinh du kien cho cuoc hop lan 2.

As permitted by the Vietnam Administration of Forestry (VNFOREST) and Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation (DoSTIC), Vietnam REDD+ Office warmly invite the Network members and all people who are interested in the safeguards for the REDD+ implementation to participate the 2nd meeting of the Sub-Technical Working Group on Safeguards.

Chaired by leader of DoSTIC & SNV
Objective of the meeting:
- Forestry sector policy framework and entry points for REDD+ co-benefits "standards" identified
- Three major international initiatives that can inform a national "standards" process introduced
- Lessons learned from "early starter" countries' national "standards" experiences shared
- Harmonised approach to national programmatic "standards" for REDD+ co-benefits presented
- Follow-up actions to commence a national "standards" process identified and allocated.
