Here's a Substack I've written after viewing a new documentary, General: Vietnam in the age of To Lam, from a young American journalist Laura Brickman that is now making the rounds in the diaspora.  Quite critical.

And for those following things in today's Vietnam as closely as I do, it's a good summary of what's led up to the country's now one-man leadership under hard-liner To Lam. 

 

And for those in Bangkok, the FCCT will be screening this documentary tomorrow evening, Wednesday 28th, with Laura also in attendance and I strongly urge you to be there.
