Peter Arnett has died.

Definitely a bummer. He got to be 91 before dying in that horrific pain.

Peter was saying from the early '70s that he wanted to be part of that 24-hour news idea that started at WNEW and finally became CNN. And it's a horrible thing that that is what actually killed his career and most  of his reputation when he hooked up with that dopey April broad and her stupid Operation Tailwind story -- which he should have spiked at the start. Then they made him the scapegoat, which he didn't deserve.

He was definitely one of the hard-chargers but I thought he  was still fantasising that he was a youngster as he got into the CNN business.

RIP Arnett, you Kiwi, you.
