 Yes, I knew Ennio and liked him very much. We spent time together in Phnom Penh during the Cambodian War. 

 

  I assume you know or have already read the book written about Ennio ==The Moon at the Bottom of the Well (in English) and also a photo collection in Italian. I just found out about the book very recently 

  I was very saddened when I heard about his suicide and don't know to this day what happened. The word at the time was that he was heartbroken about the end of a marriage or relationship. Perhaps the book will clarify it.

  Yes, suggest you contact Vietnam Old Hacks via the guy who runs it Carl Robinson. I Have cc'd him above. Feel free to use my name if you want to. I think there are others who knew Ennio in his Indochina days.
