Good work, Don Kirk.  And you're ahead of me posting the death penalty decision.  First time I've been called an Australian, however, and I guess it was just too hard to explain. But maybe after 'for The Associated Press' you could have added 'as an American'.  Ha ha.  

I'm pleased you've covered this so diligently as it's quite a moment in Vietnam's modern history.

So much stuff piling up in my unread messages, just came across yours. Ok, you're American, raised I think a few years in Africa, college in U.S., spending much time in Vietnam before gravitating to Australia. Hard to keep straight
