And though I’m not a Netflix subscriber (ha ha), with some spare time over the Thanksgiving weekend I encourage you to watch The Stringer, the documentary about the Vietnam War’s most famous photo — the Napalm Girl (AP’s Terror of War) — and the question of who really took that iconic image.
As you know, my revelation began this enquiry. The final product, updated from its Sundance premiere in January, is totally the work of the France‑based VII Foundation, with British photojournalist Gary Knight as Executive CEO and narrator. The final version also includes material from AP's lengthy post-Sundance report back in May.
The film runs about 90 minutes.
