Carl mentioned the HBO film a week or so back. Good piece here in the Hollywood Reporter interviewing the Vietnamese cast of the film. The most senior of the cast is 86 year old Kieu Chinh (who my wife remembers from Vietnam film days in the late 60's and I remember from the JOY LUCK CLUB.) Chinh says she became the first Vietnamese refugee in Canada when she arrived in Toronto on April 30 1975 !
Good employment opps for actors of Vietnamese descent!
