We were talking assassination rumours just a couple weeks ago here, but a much more malignant explanation. 

Vietnam's Defence Minister Phung Quang Thanh dies in Paris after complications from cancer surgery.    Pro-Chinese, he was talked about as possible next president of Vietnam at next year's national party congress.
