okay so im trying to install origin and the sims4 for my mom on this Dell inspiron 15 that shes had for years. i completely factory reset it and now that ive tried to install it gives me this message "MSVCP140.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling to fix the problem."
ive tried reinstalling, then going in as an admin and enabling it and nothing.
ive tried uninstalling the entire graphics pack and redoing it and nothing.
ive even tried scaning as an admin.
im like a 2/10 when it comes to knowing what im doing with computers, so this is all from research on different forums and i still cant get anything to work. this is day 5 and i leave for college next week and i was hoping to have this done by then. can someone please help me.

Hoping someone can help! I'm experiencing a similar issue when I try to run Adobe Captivate 2019 on my new laptop. It worked on my older laptop, but for some reason there's a problem on the new one (see screenshot of error message I get). I have installed the redist x64 and x84, reinstalled Captivate and restarted and still having issues. Any ideas?

this is also something i have tried, and its just not registering.
after going into my control panel i saw that i have 10 different C++ runtime programs installed but again i have very little experience with computers so i didnt know if uninstaling them all and starting fresh would screw it up or not.
ive tried about everything on this page

Thank you for making that clear, i installed the 64x one and still had the issue i will try again.
I have downloaded the 86x, its working now. thanks the most for making it clear.
Bruh now its saying i have something else not installed

I had the same problem trying to install an EA game (Unravel) on Steam. I installed both versions x86 and x64 and after that the Origin app installed flawlessly and I could continue with installing the game.
Thank you for this solution.

This. I have had the same problem as Breelee and it always was
missing that DLL but msvcruntime msvcruntime140.dll).
I did not know that you needed to have both 32 bits and 64 bits
installed. And now I think of it it has sense; most applications are
structured for 32 bits.

Errors related to msvcp140.dll can arise for a few different different reasons. For instance, a faulty application, msvcp140.dll has been deleted or misplaced, corrupted by malicious software present on your PC or a damaged Windows registry.

In the vast majority of cases, the solution is to properly reinstall msvcp140.dll on your PC, to the Windows system folder. Alternatively, some programs, notably PC games, require that the DLL file is placed in the game/application installation folder.

Some games or applications may need the file in the game/application installation folder. Copying it from Windows systemfolder to the install-folder of the game/application should fix that problem.Make sure to use the 32bit dll-file for 32bit software, and 64bit dll-file for 64bit software.

Note A: Pencil2D is currently in development, so even after successfully running the program there might be some bugs or glitches in the program that might impoverish your work. Currently there is an issue with loading and saving on certain computers, but we have a guide to prevent suffering from work loss that you can read on the following LINK

Note B: Sometimes it happens that there are computers so specific that Pencil2D might not work even after implementing known technical solutions, as such if after providing you with all the technical support that is possible for us, your situation with Pencil2D does not improve, we also have an overview list of animation software that you and your child might be able to use as a replacement. There are free and commercial apps outlined there so hopefully you both will be able to continue your artistic journey

@Induwara Hi. That is not an inherent problem with Pencil2D but with your Windows system installation. It means you are missing the necessary visual studio redistributable files. These usually come installed through windows updates.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled this program several times, followed all the troubleshooting suggestions from the Autodesk help files and made sure that all the current windows updates are installed. The last part of the installation for the Eagle program indicated it was installing the Visual C++ 2015 Redistribution package. When I looked in the file listings for the installed files in the control panel, I did not see any listing for the Visual C++ 2015 Redistribution package. I went into the Eagle folder and tried to reinstall the vcredist_x64.exe file and it started to install then a message box popped up saying "A later version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 x64 Minimum Runtime - 14.0.24210 is already installed" It gave me an error code of 0x80070643 - Fatal error during installation.

I have followed ALL the online instructions from the automated Eva helper for uninstalling and reinstalling all of the Visual C++ files. All of the files were installed in the order from the instructions with no errors. As stated previously, I am trying to install this on my home computer which is running 64 bit Windows 7 SP1. I have tried to load this program on a second computer running the same 64 bit software with the same results. However I can get the same version 9.4.2 Eagle to run on a windows 10 laptop with no problems.

I downloaded bothe the 32 bit and 64 bit files as per your previous message. The 32 bit file loaded with no problem but when I tried to load the 64 bit file I got the following error message saying the file was already loaded.

The other day I searched through the Microsoft forums for this missing DLL file error. I ran a few diagnostics as suggested and found a few errors that were corrected. I tried running the MSV C++ 2015-2017 updates and the x86 file loaded ok but when I tried running any x64 updates It says the file is already loaded. Yet when I look on my system I don't see the x64 version of the 2015 DLL file. I have posted this information on the MS forums too.

As another trial, I may backup my system an go in and remove the "d" in the current MSVCP140d.dll file in the System32 directory and see if that does anything. Or maybe send me the DLL files needed to make Eagle work and I can copy them into my directories. I'm running out of options.

Along with Adobe Acrobat and Office 365, Origin stopped working about a week ago, having been working perfectly just a few hours earlier. Everything was up to date - but that might have been the problem, since some of the updates were very new.

Anyway, after a great deal of hassle, managed to reinstall Office 365 (at about the twentieth attempt). Acrobat and Origin - newly installed - continue to bleat that their exe file can't be found - even though it's actually sitting in the appropriate folder, newly installed!

Latest attempt at Origin produced a second error message: MSVCP140.dll missing. Well, if anything is missing it is because ORIGIN has failed to install it (and I've installed, deinstalled, reinstalled, scanned and all the rest).

Either HELP - or tell me how I can get back all the money I've spent on Sims 4 which I can no longer play. (Actually, I realise I'm probably addressing fellow Origin-sufferers - but you know what I mean!)

I am having the same issue I had it on my old laptop now I have a new one with more ram and all and this one has windows 10 on it. and I was all excited that I was going to be able to play sims4 on my new laptop I just got for my birthday. NOPE! I am so upset I have done all the updates other people have said to do and redownloaded a million times and still nothing. fix this problem please or is there a number I can call these people????

I am also getting this same error. I tried going to the beta and it installs, but it does not open.

I am also not able to uninstall past versions of ChiTuBox (I may have deleted them from the program files without going though the uninstall process). Now I can't do a proper uninstall because the uninstall file is missing. Could this be the issue? I don't remember at this point if I deleted these old version before or after I got the missing MSVCP140.dll error

I also want to note that I tried going back to the stable build and I get the same missing MSVCP140.dll error. Is the pathing need to be reset? It seems to be trying to find the dll files in the wrong location, does anyone know how to fix this?

I was able to correctly uninstall the old versions of the sotware by reinstalling them and then finding the uninstall file in the program files folder. Now they no longer show up in my uninstall window. I then reinstalled the first the stable and then the beta program and again the missing MSVCP140.dll error persists.

So I tried a adding a new copy of MSVCP140 to my windows file and that causes another error. I tried solving this other error without success, but in doing so someone mentioned reinstalling visual studio C++

Easier fix, go to programs and then find Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 Redistributable there, click on it, hit modify and then repair. There might be multiple based on the system being used, but find the one that matches the system version of Chitubox you downloaded and it should fix it.

A correct category would not come up; however, not able to download prod Mask AI. Getting an initial error that plug would not install on Photoshop (I have CS6) but seem to complete. When I attempt to open the stand alone application, I get the attached errors. Uninstalled, restarted and reinstalled with same issue.
