We consider it pertinent to put on record that at about 04:30 pm on the 12th of September 2023, the lifeless body of Mr. Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (AKA Mohbad) was brought to our medical facility and our medical team immediately sprang into action and after assessment, it was discovered that there was no sign of life, no central or peripheral pulse, no heartbeat, no recordable vital signs, and his pupils were fixed and dilated. On attempting CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), rigor mortis (stiffening of some parts of the body in relation to death) was observed and the persons who brought him to our facility were informed that it was a case of BID (Brought in dead). Upon inquiry about the circumstances leading to the emergency, our team was informed that the deceased was being treated at home by a nurse and that she administered injections to him.

Whether you're a long-time fan of Mohbad or just discovering his music for the first time, "Ask About Me" is definitely worth a listen. So why not give it a spin and see what all the fuss is about? You won't be disappointed!

The Yoruba-revered Eyo, which serves as the fictional vehicle for that malicious assassination, provides us with our first glimpse of the undeniable parallelism between the core message of the Gangs of Lagos and the present-day Nigerian condition. In itself, the Eyo is a symbol of death due, in the main, to its cultural and philosophical affiliation to the afterworld and the dead. However, centering a blatant, intrigue-mired political assassination around the image of Eyo, warts and all, deserves our absolute commendation for its boldness and validity. The Gangs of Lagos would be nothing without everything it reveals about Nigeria and the multiple faces of corrosive power. This Nigeria, our beloved country, is simply a criminal fiefdom that shamelessly luxuriates in its capacity to denigrate and entrap the Nigerian people mentally and materially. We are Nigerians only as much as we are willing victims of Nigeria.

Mohbad was declared deceased on September 12 and buried the next day. Allegations about the likely cause of death of the Nigerian musician began to surface on the day of his death and in the days that followed.

Thousands of people marched across Nigeria on Thursday (September 21) over the mysterious death of Afrobeat star Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known as MohBad. According to a report by the news agency Associated Press, MohBad, 27, died on September 12 in a hospital in Lagos after being admitted for an unknown illness. The Lagos police said his body was exhumed on Thursday in response to complaints about the unclear circumstances surrounding his death.

An old video of the late Nigeria singer, Mohbad has surfaced online, which shows the moment he was crying in pain while speaking about a white substance he was forced to drink at the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) office by their officials and the gun slammed on his head.

The evidence of his mistreatment has stoked a conversation about how local labels treat young artists who, desperate for their big break, become entrapped in parasitic contracts and bullied when they try to exit the arrangement.

Mohbad was never silent about his ordeal but it wasn\u2019t until he paid the ultimate sacrifice that he started dominating social media trends. He put out tweets, released songs and wrote the Police about the threat to his life but did we take him seriously, did those steps amount to anything?

Social media has been flooded with anger over MohBad's death, but also with speculation about whether he had been harassed, bullied and beaten by powerful members of Nigeria's hugely influential record industry.

The news of his untimely demise sent shockwaves through his fan base and the music community, resulting in the trending hashtag #justiceformohbad on social media platforms, including X (formerly known as Twitter).

Nobody is sure that naira Marley killed him true. All we are saying is that naira Marley and his crew bullied him incessantly which might have led to depression, restlessness and circumstances leading
to his death. Bearing in mind he reported to the police about the constant bullying

In his long-lasting feud with his fellow artiste, Naira Marley, Mohbad had apparently filed a petition to the police accusing a certain Samlarry Elegushi and others of attacking him at a video shoot, armed with weapons, inflicting injuries on him and damaging property worth millions. This was in June 2023. Three months later, the artiste turns up dead. Did the police act on his complaints about threats to his life? Did they investigate his claims? When the police was queried on this on Twitter, the police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin seemed more interested in pointing out that the complaint was filed to the wrong office, as if the average Nigerian is supposed to know which office ranks higher than which and which office exactly they are supposed to run to when someone is chasing them with a machete.

The exact cause of his sudden death in a Lagos hospital is unknown and allegations of harassment he reported suffering from politically connected figures at his former music label have sparked outrage and an outpouring of emotional tributes. The hashtag #justiceformohbad has been trending on X, formerly known as Twitter, since his death.
