I have a Netgear Nighthawk WiFi Range Extender which is located in my living room. The model number is EX7000. I am using the device as an accesss point. ATT UVerse (located in my Office) provides internet and the Nighthawk is connected to the Uverse Router via an ethernet cable and a switch. The dvices that are connected to the LAN ports on the Nighthawk are my Panasonic Viera TV, Uverse Main DVR and a Yamaha Receiver which provides surround sound.

A few weeks ago, I started having trouble connecting to NetFlix and BellSouth.net. I connect to NetFlix via a SmartApp on my TV but it will take 2 or 3 attempts and then NetFlix will work. As I mentoined, my TV is connected to the Nighthawk via an ethernet cable. My wife has an iPAD and she uses it to access our email which is a bellsouth.net account. She connnects via WiFi to the Nighthawk. I changed her iPAD so it connects to the WiFi on the Uverse Router and she is able to download email from bellsouth.net

I also notice that when I run the network check on my TV which checks to make sure there is an IP address that the check will fail. The odd thing is that UVerse TV works fine. As I mentioned, my TV connects to one of the LAN ports on the NIghthawk via an ethernet cable.

I ran a connection test on it and it passed. I did notice that the IP Address appears and disappears when I am in the Netgear Management App. It took me a second to figure out why. When I turn the TV off, the IP address drops from the list. The IP address does not reappear until I run the connection test. I guess it makes sense that the IP address disappears when the TV is not powered on but if there is an issue with the IP addrress on the TV, wouldnt UVerse stop working? As I said, the TV connects to the NIghthawk which connects to the Uverse Router - all via Ethernet cable. TV has the latest firmware.

I've been testing out channel apps. I DO get all the NBC live streaming and, of course, Pluto, Tubi, my Hulu, Netflix and Paramount+. I do not get anything else I've tried. I go to log in, do the whole code process and get the channel is not part of my package or not authorized. Why would all the NBC channels work live but nothing else?

Yes! Mine too! And some won't even let me try after that. Oh! I just asked my sister. She uses uverse and gets the same thing. It's not part of her package when it is. I'm tired of uverse and Roku bouncing me back and forth between them. Both say it's the other.

We understand that you are having an issue with the U-verse channel.
In order to resolve this, it's best to reach out directly to the Channel provider's support to get the channel going on your Roku, as they can resolve the error you are having with the channel login. Please note that Roku doesn't manage channel logins or authentication, and many channels on Roku are developed and maintained by the channel provider.

Please be advised that the U-verse channel is no longer available on Roku. You'll want to contact the channel's support directly to inquire further about that channel's features and functionality. Many channels on Roku are developed and maintained by the channel providers themselves.

Roku, the issue with with apps for channels like the CNN app. If I sign out of the CNN app, I can get a 10 minute of CNN preview. However, when I sign into the roku CNN app with my Uverse login, it no longer works. It has worked for several years in the past, but it has not worked yesterday and today. Also, when I go to cnn.com/activate, enter the code, and login via my Uverse account, it says my login is successful. So, I'm able to log into CNN with my Uverse account, but the Roku CNN app will not work if I'm signed in with my Uverse account. Roku, please do not reply saying there is no Uverse channel. We all understand this and it is not actually the issue we are having. We having issues with the apps like CNN (using a U-verse account login, which has always been available).

THANK YOU!!! Yep. I have been told by Roku that it's a uverse issue. I've been having trouble getting a human being at ATT. Mine started yesterday, too, the 19th. My sister lost her live streaming, too. Also, I discovered I can watch shows on demand on an app (like I just watched the current OutDaughtered on TLC but no live streaming. I DO get all the NBC networks live. We all need to bombard ATT. This has to get resolved. I like streaming and using my Roku TV.

I have tried getting in touch with ATT. I can't get a human. I can't get into the forums and the chat is robot. If this is a U-verse issue, then how am I suppose to get them directly? Have any of you contacted them?

Recently I moved into a new place and the only internet available is AT&T U-verse. Granted, I could go satellite or wireless, but those options have upfront costs for somewhere I only plan on living less than 6 months.

I send an email to the woman who wrote the letter, I explained that not only was the issue not resolved, she did not even grasp the real issue. A few more days go by with no response, and I log into the AT&T website to check my usage. Now, the previous day my teenage son was home from about 3pm til around 11:30pm, he was playing video games, streaming music, he was watching netflix and amazon prime. So I was expecting a massive spike in data usage for that day. AT&T, with their perfect servers and engineers report on their website for me to check that not only was my data usage for the previous day much lower than expected, it shows I had ZERO data used.

I could see more ISPs going metered as a means of revenue. But then we will end up n the same boat we are currently in with cell data plans. One provider offers unlimited, another offers better bandwidth, etc.

I have a kibosh router behind the bridged AT&T modem/router. I could turn on data tracking, but like you said, what difference does it make? AT&T would never take my word for it, even after showing irrefutable proof of inaccuracy (screenshot of streaming services used at my IP address on the day in question and screenshot of AT&T web usage page showing 0.00gb used) they will not believe they have an issue.

After doing some looking around, I found out that here in California we have a department that deals with the exact problem I have discovered. As I mentioned, everything metered has a way to verify accuracy. This includes grocery store scales, fuel pumps, utility meters, and even taxi cabs. And they are all monitored by one agency called the Division of Measurement Standards. I have submitted a complaint to them, let s see if they pass the buck.

My Cloud worked great for a while streaming movies to my Samsung TV and music to my Yamaha receiver over wi-fi. Now My Cloud has become invisible to all but my PC which sees it as part of the wi-fi network. BubbleUPnP on my phone sees the TV and receiver but not the My Cloud.

So I installed a D-link ethernet switch between My Cloud and the ATT uverse PACE router. I was able to finally access My Cloud on my Samsung TV. This situation latest for about a half hour but then disappeared part way through a movie.

I can access the My Cloud using the WDMyCloud program on my PC. Using the WD Discovery program, I can see the WDMyCloud as a NAS, my Samsung TV and Yamaha receiver as Media Renderers and my PC as a Media Server. My Samsung TV does show up 3 more times as Device Type urn:samsung.com:device:MainTVServer2:1, n:samsung.com:device:RemoteControlReceiver:1, and urn:dial-multiscreen-org:device:dialreceiver:1

Your Internet provider is out of the loophere in one way, you are NOT using Internet in this instance. It is all about the home network your router sets up, so if your router/modem is leased from Internet provider, that could be where problem lies; in the setup there, or in your setting up beyond the router.

Many people speak of the home network and the Internet in their home as being the same thing, and hopefully I have explained that the Internet is a separate part of a home network that can be added to the home network, and most often is today.

@tmn1 if you don't mind sharing how to find the App stream link I would be happy to creating a running list for people. All of the ones I have complied have been from trial and error or scouring the forum.

not sure what you mean App Stream link.. but below are the ones from Hulu that work perfectly for guide data population... I just wish it would open each app (HBO, Showtime, Cinemax,) etc.. I feel im so close, I keep this because it tells me what's on on the guide if I do want to switch watching either to app or back to Uverse box....

here is the hulu items that produce accurate guide.. is this what you meant? To be clear, I do pay for all the access, and have it on uverse box. or each app as I desire to sign in .. but CHANNELS by far the best for ease of use, onscreen guide, use on the road, devices (apple). (really wish autotune feature... like a timer.. just a hint lads)... so I'm not trying to rip off anyone.. just really like channels and find it the. best guide display...
