Instagram Post Downloader is a service that saves any Instagram picture to any gadget. No matter how you decided to apply the Inflact Instagram downloader, you can collect photos and videos to PC, Mac, Android, or iPhone. You just paste the link and automatically get photos or videos to your device.

To download a Story from another account, switch to the Stories tab from the Photo one. You'll find the same search bar here, which will ask for a username instead of a post URL. If more than one article has been published at the moment, the service will additionally make you tick the one you need from the dropdown. Notice that both photos and videos are available for downloading in this mode.

This handy tool saved all my dog's photos so quickly. I was worried it would be complicated and lots of work to get these photos onto the drive, but I just had to download the app and press a button. I watched as the photos were saved, and got to see so many photos I forgot I had even taken. I'm glad the memories when he was a puppy are all safe.

Despite choosing "storage saver" option for uploads my photos are NOT getting compressed. They used to be but not anymore. Same for uploads from backup n sync, phone or webpage. I tried to reupload an old photo i have uploaded years ago and then was compressed to like 1 mb, now when i uploaded it again the photo remained in it's original file size.

I installed Drive for Desktop to sync photos from my desktop folder to Google Photos. I have "Storage Saver" set in the Drive application AND in Google Photos on the website. However, when I look, SOME photos show uploaded in "Original Quality".

I tried selecting "Convert existing photos & videos to Storage saver", it says "Compressing .." and I've waited 24hrs and even tried it again, but I can go back and still find photos using "Original Quality".

A simple and smart solution for your Media storage woes, the compact and convenient ClickFree Pro universal storage device features four connectors so you can easily expand the capacity of any device -- fitting more photos and videos on your phone, tablet, or computer without worrying about running out of space. Easily transfer photo and video files to other devices, too! From Clickfree.

Yes! And it is so hard to manually sort out which photos are inat photos. If I take them through the app they get named differently, which helps, but putting them in a seperate folder would be way better.

I was just wondering the same thing (about deleting the photos). As a test, I moved the photos elsewhere and the photos were still present in the (Android) app. I guessed that the app (after syncing) references the photos from the Internet. However, I was glad to hear a confirmation from you (@tiwane) .

You could tell DPP to save each photo to a file folder on your mac hard disk, but I suggest copying everything from the SD card to a new file folder on the Mac hard disk. I suggest having an external hard disk for time machine to make backup copies. Apple support web pages show how to use time machine.

I move the switch on the SD card to write protect so that I cannot accidentally delete or modify the files and put it into the card slot on the iMac. Later after I have copies of the photos in multiple places, then I will turn off write protect on the SD card.

In terminal, I cd to the directory where I put my photos and then make a new directory for this batch. It is my habit to use the date for each batch of photos, but you could organize them however you like.

Next, I do "cp -i -pX /Volumes/EOS_DIGITAL/DCIM/100CANON/*.CR3 ." which puts a copy of all of the CR3 files onto the mac hard disk while leaving them on the SD card, but you could also do the same with finder. It is my habit to put all of the photos from the SD card onto more than one computer hard disk and then format the SD card in the camera which erases it and gets it ready for the next batch of photos.

Or do you just want an individual folder for each event? The choice of structure is yours, but it is important to set it up before you start downloading files. We have folks posting on the forum that they downloaded their photos but now they can't find them.

Use Time Machine, the built-in backup feature of your Mac, to automatically back up your personal data, including apps, music, photos, email, and documents. Having a backup allows you to restore your Mac from a Time Machine backup if you ever delete your files or can't access them.

Thanks for your input turbosax. With my photos they are all being worked on by Topaz as a plugin to Apple Photos. And this happens for me on new and old photos shot from several different cameras. So for me at least, it does not appear to be related to recent vs. old images/imports. I feel like it is a glitch in either Photos or Topaz. But since Topaz gives the message and is unable to complete the saving process, my feeling is it is within Topaz.

Thanks for the help. The screenshot is in my first post up top. If I try to reprocess it after the initial fail, the problem persists no matter ho many times I try. The only time I was able to get it to get it to finish sending it back to apple after a failure was when I closed it, then edited the image in apple photos before reopening it in Topaz AI. After which point it was successful.

Just had it happen today to a group of photos from a 30 fps burst (the last one of the session) from a walk in a park today. All of hundreds of photos taken before that can be loaded into apple Photos, processed through Topaz and can be saved to Apple photos. All settings the same.

Additionally (though I cannot provide details as I've forgotten them), I've found that the layered TIFF that Affinity can create doesn't save quite all of the Affinity data, so it's not completely useful as a replacement for .afphoto files for archival purposes.

Thanks for replies --- optional would be a great fix Walt
LOL ; since when has TIF been 'bad' ? !

The reasons I use Tiff is the image can be viewed in Win10 folders; and Ap tiff are also smaller than PSD for some reason (??) . Tiff works in On1 and Nik; not that I use it much these days . Make life easier .
Just for interest -- I always like to keep layers when working (playing really) and I usually play from an "editing" folder. When I'm happy with the edit, the tiff layers are saved (just incase) , plus a jpg file is saved (Shift+Ctrl+Alt+S) Both files are dragged to their home folder. Eventually ; just the original raw and edited jpg [ whoops -- sorry to use a really bad word ] will remain . After sharing online, I don't have too much use for the photo or most photos when it comes to that . All just for something to do .

Affinity Photo plus On1 2020 is a pretty happy marriage so far while old Lr5 has a rest
Cheers

Consider as an alternative setting up an automatic live export in the Export persona and keeping a separate PNG or JPG (or TIFF if really necessary - PNG is much smaller and still recognized by most everything; JPG is lossy but if that is your final output format anyway then you already have it when you are done?) next to your .afphoto file?

This is likely of interest only to those using the older versions up to Lightroom 6
Lightroom as DAM system --- sadly still the better for me since 2012 --- eeekk that is 11 years ago!!
RAW file edited in LR5 --- often that's all I do
Exported as an edited Jpg to "editing" folder
Open the JPG and edit in AP2
Save as AFphoto file (File >save as)
Save edited file as jpg (Shift+Alt+Ctrl) to "editing"
Import the jpg into "editing" in LR5 >move file to it's home folder
[ I find using only the "editing" folder simpler the same as when importing new files into "_import" in Lr5 is simpler/easier ]

The better part: I know have an edited AFphoto file in windows but not in Lr5 so if (when ?) I make a BIG mess of Lightroom I will always have the AFphoto file in Win10 . Far safer than having the tiff files in Lightroom also .

Off Topic: I now use a program called "everything" when searching for files in Win10 --- far better than the Win10 search

The problem is, that Photos does no longer keep previews of all edited versions for the Media browser. So the screensaver of all photos will simply show the original images with out the adjustments or rotation and cropping applied.

Richard -- It's a work-around, but it works! Many thanks for taking the time to weigh in! Now all I have to do is figure out why so many of these photos show up sideways or upside down when appearing in the screen saver. Thanks again!

I had to search a lot, but I found a very useful solution to save the image in the cell phone's photo gallery and get the absolute path to use it the way you want. For this example I used a result obtained from saving an image in the photo gallery, however it could also work to read other files, obviously making the changes that you see necessary, I hope it will help youuri_to_fileimage_gallery_saver

There is a workaround, I made it worked by specifying path to "/storage/emulated/0/DCIM/YOUR_FOLDER/YOUR_FILE_NAME" then it will be saved outside of support package directory then image appears in Gallery. You can use any image saver plugin just provide that hardcoded path.
