Thesoftware combines an intuitive and flexible user interface with a powerful singing synthesis engine backed by cutting-edge technologies. Users can easily create realistic-sounding vocal covers or original songs by simply sketching out a melody and filling in the lyrics.

Voices for Synthesizer V Studio are available in English, Japanese, and Mandarin Chinese. The cross-lingual synthesis feature in Synthesizer V Studio Pro further enables any AI voice to sing in a non-native language. For example, Saki AI, a voice native in Japanese, can also sing in English or Chinese given appropriate lyrics.

feng yi is a chinese synth developed by dreamtonics. she was first released in 2022. her voice provider has not been revealed. she does not have an official character mascot and i couldnt find one that seemed to be the fanon go-to, however the VIMALION (a group(?) recourse collective(?) which makes unofficial designs and art for vocal synths without mascots) design is popular, which i think was designed by ricedeity.

kumi hitsuboku is a multilingual synth voiced and managed by Cubialpha. she has banks in: English, Japanese, French, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Thai, and Russian. she was originally introduced in 2011. they are 165cm tall and have no canon age. they were originally a parody of hatsune miku intended to fool people, but are now their own character. all their artwork was drawn by itporl i think ??

kikyuune aiko was released in 2009. shes voiced and illustrated by MystSaphyr. aiko was originally created as a fanmade vocaloid called Hazuru Sora, in jun 2009. later she was modified and given a vb and released as an utau as part of Project UTAU XYZ (an UTAU character series created by MystSaphyr"from vocal synth fandom wiki). this was renamed to Studio VOXYZ in 2016. aiko is 175cm and does not have a defined age.

Ron Keine is a japanese synth released in 2010. hes voiced by keyl, and illustrated and designed by Matsuda Toki. (last year i said rons chinese as that is when utau wikia guesses his ethnicity is, but this time i mean it as in the language of his vb)

momochi minami is a japanese synth voiced by a DJ who wears a Kigurumi style mask. momochi minami the utau and momochi minami the DJ share name and appearance. momochi minami that utau was released in 2013 by SHINYUSHA for the utau starter pack and utau master pack. she is illustrated by harune-haru

matsupoid is also a japanese SHINYUSHA synth, though he was released in 2012. hes available in the 2012 april issue of the magazine. hes voiced by matsuda juuji (sorry i called him matsuda shigeharu last year because that what deepl turned his name into, but this time i got the pronunciation off of his wikipedia page) and illustrated by gurageida

alys is a french synth developed by VoxWave. shes voiced by french utaite Poucet, and illustrated by Saphirya. alys was first developed as a prototype for utau in 2014, but this was never publicly released. she was actually released in 2016 for alter/ego. later, in 2017 i think, she received a japanese bank

Sora Amaha was originally released as an MMD model on 8 jun 2009. she then got an utau vb on 13 may 2011 in the windows 100 utau starter pack. she was created by ISAO, whos oc she is. her utau vb is voiced by Lon (aka Kamiki Madoka), and managed by windows 100.

Tomo Kane is a japanese synth released in 2011, and devloped by SHINYUSHA for the windows 100% magazine (more about that on 13 jul post). utau wikidot says tomo was released on 13 instead of 12 though. she is voiced by Tomoko Kaneda, and illustrated by 今泉昭彦(Imaizumi Akihiko ? maybe ?). tomos official mmd model was created by Aun.N. tomo comes with the windows 100 utau starter pack and the utau master pack. shes available in the nov 2011 issue of windows 100, and then received an update for the nov 2012 issue.

adachi rei is a japanese synth created and illustrated by missile39. missile39 created 2 life-size robots of hatsune miku in the past, and is now working on building a robot of his original character adachi rei. this is being crowd funded to pay for the material needed in 3d printing her different parts. adachis utau vb wa released on 12 oct 2019, and her A.I.VOICE (or more specifically REPLIVOICE) (developed by Mechanical Girl LLC) bank on 23 oct 2021, after a crowd funding campaign. adachis voice is completely computer generated using audacity through overlapping Sin waves and the use of equalizers to adjust the wave frequencies to match those of japanese speech (?). as such, she does not have a vp. a fan-made port to deepvocal was created by M@RS, and a conversion to vcv by K.C.. adachi is 160cm tall.

Hey; just curious if anyone had any knowledge into the sudden addition and then disappearance of the SPOTLIGHT FX on smule right around New Years. I think I had joined several OCs with it but it was gone before i really had a chance to play with it.

Additional question on the topic of vocal effects was if someone could break down to me why joining videos on voice only drastically changes the recording volume or why recording without a vocal filter and applying it during editing also seems to mess with the volume significantly. I sometimes like to record in polish to hear myself better (I only sing with one earbud in most of the time) but if I wanna add a bit of reverb later and switch it to super studio I noticed a volume drop

Synthesizer V Studio is the second generation of the Synthesizer V vocal synthesis engine, developed by Dreamtonics Co., Ltd. The software was unveiled June 25, 2020 in a press release alongside voice databases Kotonoha Akane & Aoi and Saki.[1] AI support for Synthesizer V AI was released for Synthesizer V Studio as an update on December 25 alongside an update for Saki known as Saki AI. Voice databases that were not recorded with the AI method are known as "Standard voice databases", which are generally recorded at the Dreamtonics studio in Tokyo.[2][3]

Two versions were announced: Synthesizer V Studio Pro and Synthesizer V Studio Basic. Synthesizer V Studio Pro officially released July 10, 2020 on Beijing Photek S&T Development Co., Ltd.'s Taobao for Chinese users.[4] International users were able to purchase Synthesizer V Studio Pro starting July 15, on ANiCUTE,[5] while AH-Software Co. Ltd. later released it on July 30 for Japanese users. Synthesizer V Studio Basic released July 31, on Dreamtonics' Website as a free download.[6]

In August 2019, Kanru Hua announced on Twitter the development of the second generation of Synthesizer V, known tentatively as Synthesizer V Release 2. On April 9, 2020 it was announced by Ddickky that the second generation of Synthesizer V would be released soon, and said a demo of Chiyu using the new engine would be coming soon.[7] The demo was released on April 11.[8]

Animen's ANiCUTE store for international customers opened on July 12th and Synthesizer Studio Pro with voice databases Genbu & AiKO available for purchase on July 15.[10] Special discounts were made available for VIP members and purchasers of the 1st generation Synthesizer V editor.

On February 28, 2023, Dreamtonics announced that Synthesizer V Studio would soon add Cantonese Chinese as its fourth supported language. This would allow the engine to support both voice libraries dedicated to the language as well as Cross-lingual Singing Synthesis. The company also announced the future support of rap vocals, showing a demo of a new male vocalist rapping in Mandarin Chinese and English. Support for Japanese rap was expected in the future.[19][20] On March 2, Dreamtonics posted a response to fans' concerns with the implementation of Cantonese Chinese and noted that they were checking and fixing the issues with the demonstration clips as reported by the user base. They also noted that Synthesizer V Studio supported the input of lyrics in Cantonese Jyutping, which was the 1993 version of the Cantonese spelling scheme. It was not equivalent to the X-SAMPA phonetic scheme above the lyric notes on the editor. The X-SAMPA phonetic scheme for a Chinese character was also not equivalent to the Pinyin reading of the character.[21] On March 15, after receiving feedback in improving the song to be more in line with Cantonese songwriting habits, Dreamtonics replaced the bilibili version of the debut video, which implemented corrections made to the male vocal's and Feng Yi's demos.[22][23] The rap feature for English and Mandarin Chinese, and the implementation of Cantonese Chinese Cross-lingual Singing Synthesis was officially planned to be fully implemented in Version 1.9.0, with a beta version released on April 18. Dreamtonics mentioned that after receiving valuable feedback, they focused on refining pronunciation for an even better user experience. As for how it worked, they said that when the language is set to Cantonese, all Chinese lyrics will be sung with Cantonese pronunciation. If misread lyrics occurred, users can correct them by typing the romanized form in Jyutping directly. Although the phoneme set is largely based on Mandarin Chinese, several phonemes unique to Cantonese were incorporated.[24]
