Theup/down arrow keys need to be set as "follow last button press" in order to do what your asking for multiple device control. It will work exactly as you describe, press lamp button, then up/down will dim. Same with music button, up/down on volume control. All of these actions do need to be bound to a driver's connections in order to achieve this.

They do offer a keypad switch, but only in EU, nothing for USA. Dimmer only. The dimmers can be set for instant on/off of a load, but the same dimming principles apply. The load must be capable of dimming. Don't expect to use it for fluorescent lighting in the garage or anything. Could easily damage the dimmer or ballasts.


@lippavisualI am trying to get a better understanding of what you said about all the actions need to be bound to a driver's connections. Is that a specific request I need to make from my dealer? Meaning I have Composer HE and six button keypads that are setup and working for lights & audio. I didn't know if that capability is already there and I just need to create it in Programing or have additional dealer help? Speaking of where is "follow last button" located in HE?


The buttons on Crestron and third-party keypads (including certain hand-held remotes) can be assigned actions based on the type of button press that is performed (tap, double tap, press and hold, and multi-tap) and the button mode assigned to the button.


The available button presses and button modes are based on the keypad model and the assigned button mode. For details, refer to Keypad Button Press Support and Keypad Button Modes and Button Functions.

Crestron and third-party keypads support different button functions based on the Button mode that is selected. For example, the Scene button mode supports Built-In Functionality and Multi button functions; the Quick Actions button mode supports Tap, Double, Hold, and Multi button functions; and the Shade Room button mode supports Tap and Press and Hold button functions. Each button mode and button function perform a defined action. Refer to the table that follows for a list of button modes and the button functions that they support.


Press and Hold: When Enable Dimming for Lights is enabled. Raise or lower the lights. The load raises or lowers based on the action that was performed last. If the load was turned on or raised, press and hold the button to lower the light level. To turn off the lights, continue holding the button after the minimum light level is reached.


On/Raise/Off/Lower: Switches the load on or off or raises or lowers the lights. The lights turn on or off or raise or lower based on the action that was performed last. If the lights were turned on or raised, press the button to turn the lights off or press and hold the button to lower the lights.


Cycle: Cycle through the available fan speeds. Each button press advances through the available fan speeds in the Available Speeds list. When the last speed in the list is reached, the next button press advances to the first option in the list.

The eForce 3090-150 Keyless Entry is a battery-operated keyless entry control for Adams Rite deadlocks, deadlatches and exit devices, that is compatible with aluminum and hollow metal door applications. The device can accommodate up to 150 users, including master, supervisor, emergency users plus two one-time codes. The eForce 3090-150 can operate in three modes: Standard, Passage, and Lockout. All programming is accomplished via the keypad. Device operation is confirmed by both a visual LED light indicator and an audible sound generated by a Piezo horn.


In the standard mode of operation, a programmed 2 to 7-digit character followedby a star (*) key allows for one entry when used with Adams Rite deadlatches or exit devices. When an authorized code is entered, rotate lever downward 90 to unlock or unlatch locking device. When released, lever returns to horizontal. The MS Deadlocks must always be relocked manually when used with the eForce 3090-150. Hold open time is adjustable from 1 to 9 seconds. eForce 3090-150 accepts any standard mortise cylinder with MS cam, available separately.


I installed two keypads a long time ago. I no longer remember how I did it. I'm using the EISY now, and in the admin console, it shows the keypad buttons. Below is a single button on the keypad. I want this button to be a controller for a light (ideally, turn off) and then (possibly?) be a responder to the light. I would like to program button A to turn off the light and button B to turn on the light. I do not see a way to do this through the admin console. Is there a way to do it? And should each button ONLY be a controller for the switch, or is there a reason to have the button be a responder too? Thank you.


Thank you. I did not know I only needed to use one button. I added a scene and it works if the button for the light is pressed or I turn on the light through the admin console. It does not work if I use an Insteon remote, but I'll research that and add a thread if necessary.


Hi Techman, it's the latest version of the remote. 4 button. I manually added 4 lights to it, before realizing that I could link it to my EISY. One of the lights happens to be the light that's programmed to the keypad we're discussing.


This is for an in law apartment. The idea is that the remote is used to turn on 3-4 lights that provide light for parking and for walking the steps up to the in law door. Once you open the door, you can directly turn off 3 of the 4 lights at a 4 gang box, one of which has the keypad (which itself turns on/off one of the lights). The lights for parking are controlled by the A button on the keypad (thanks to you, and where the switch for those lights is in a hard to reach place).


Thank you, that did work after a while. Is there a way to add something to a scene through a menu? I have been dragging the remote button down to the new scene, and so many times I'd either lose it or I'd accidentally pick up a different light. I'm using a mouse.


With that in mind, we highly recommend calling professional experts to repair your remote or keypad. These fixes usually involve ladders and additional equipment, which may lead to potential danger for those without proper training.


Hey everyone. I have a program that I want to create that will allow the user to change the direction of a motor using a 4x4 keypad. Holding down one button will ramp the motor from start to maximum speed and letting go will drop the motor speed back to zero, and another button will do the same thing except in the opposite direction.


So I was thinking of editing this program and including the ramp feature to a specific key, for example, pressing button 1 will ramp the motor from rest to 100% in X amount of seconds. Is this feasible?


This keypad can be programmed to up to 3 individual garage door openers in any combination of manufacturer specifications. You will need your opener ID# from Chart A for these steps. To start over at any time, start at STEP 2 - CLEARING THE KEYPAD.


If the keypad is to be used by normally unauthorized personnel (such as a repairman) a temporary PIN can be assigned to that personnel to gain access to the garage. This PIN will remain active until the main PIN is used again. (PRGM = PROGRAM).


The operator will learn 20 coces. Programming another keypad code does not erase the prior code. Codes are stored in the non-volitile memory in the powerhead. Press the LEARN button for about 7 seconds to erase all stored codes then reprogram the keypad and all remotes.


The keypad has an "emergency open/close" function. If the keypad is used to open or close the door, for 30 seconds after activation, the "ENTER" button functions similar to a push button control. This allows the homeowner to reverse travel without entering the code in case a possible obstruction is sensed or the homeowner wants to re-eneter the garage. After the 30 seconds, the keypad code must be used to activate the opener.


To which model garage door opener are you programming the keypad? If the garage door opener is a model 315, 415, 425 or 428, after pressing the LEARN button on the motorhead, do not break the photo-eye beam. Breaking the beam will take the opener out of learn mode.


Going through the steps to set up after Lease, coding in the #'s, push Enter. After a few minutes I get 4 light flashes and the code does not work. Is there another step?

There are 20 memory registers available so there should not be a problem. If the LEARN button is pressed for over 5 seconds, all learned codes will be erased. Do not press and hold the LEARN button during the entire cycle of programming.
