CIRCULAR
Guidelines/ regulations for conduct of ONAM celebrations - 2016
For the smooth conduction of Onam celebration, the following guidelines are issued.
1. All students have to wear identity card in the college campus.
2. Celebration will be from 9AM to 3.30 PM. Restoration activities should be under the guidance of department association. All group tutors are requested to strictly monitor the restoration activities and ensure that all the venues are cleaned by 4.30 PM.
3. The staff and students of all departments should ensure that no sound system, internal or external, be used during the programme.
4. The departments should ensure that only a reasonable amount of money is collecte from the students in the name of celebration.
5. Display of any sort of flex boards, sign boards, etc is strictly prohibited in the college campus.
6. Students are not allowed to enter the college premises under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
7. Vehicle parking area should be strictly monitored. No outsiders are allowed to enter the campus
8. Students are advised to strictly adhere to the conventional dress code that is allowed on Fridays in the college. Boys can wear dhothis and kurtha while girls can wear either settu mundu or sari. But students are strictly warned not to wear casual clothing such as lungi, bermudas, half pants, sleeveless shirts, dhavani, lachcha, etc.
9. All the existing rules related to discipline will be applicable on the day of celebration also.
10. Presence of teachers is mandatory. All HoD’s, staff members, group tutors, etc. are requested to actively participate and ensure that the celebrations are held in a disciplined and orderly way.
