Dear students who left our threshold,

Rare are the times when all of us need to stand together to protect the name that Vidya has built up. You must be knowing that we conducted this prestigious all-India football championship with full sponsorship in 2014 and partial sponsorship last year. With the sponsor back-tracking fully this year, we had the option to drop the event. But as an institution that has produced our students like you, we were hesitant to drop the match. A drive is happening to see if we can collect sufficiently from the entire family and who else can we extend our hands to with confidence and right but you?

May I request your help with whatever you can personally spare say starting with Rs. 1000/-or upwards. I am sure if you share this mail with more of your batch-mates/ college mates- Alumni spread all over the world we can work miracles. Can you?

I have a dream that we can declare this 2016 event at least as our Alumni event! What pride for us!

The account number with IFC code details are in the attachment. May I expect a response such that we decide to go forward with Ramesh's head held high with your support before 30th Jan.?

There will be full understanding if you respond adversely too. After all you are ours forever!

Dear Hijas and all dear students of Vidya,

As was expected, you responded with such warmth and affection and that fills our hearts with joy and peaceful satisfaction. Thank you.

And whatever you offer is more valuable to us than all that we will gather from the public or within. At present, we have got as confirmation contribution from PTA, our own salary and Trust office contribution, Alumni association in Vidya put together about 8L. We are all trying in our own way to appeal for sponsorship from different sources we are trying to line up some probable sponsors.

Yesterday, in the sponsorship committee meeting we could not confirm much, except some material sponsorship for games materials and some banners. Hence we have pushed a full scale decision to Feb. 2nd (Tuesday) and hope to get more movement towards our full budget of a little above 20L.(attached the proposal). In that context, I express our happiness in your early decision and also hope that other units of Alumni or some individuals out of 5000 students or so who have gone out of Vidya by now, to start the trickle which shall become a deluge!

Please forward this request to all the groups you belong to, such that Ramesh can carry out the formalities required by the tournament, without bowing before 'others' since he has captured your respect and affection and I can, on our institution's behalf extend my hands before you with dignity and right, unlike before anyone else.

We Vidya'tes UAE are very glad, when we came to know that our beloved college and staff are remembering us and approached us for this.

The executive committee of Vidya'te UAE had an initial discussion and decided to try our level best to sponsor minimum one match. Since we are not aware about current scenario, regarding the amount the college raised already for this tournament, we would like to know that, do we need to contribute more, than sponsoring one match.
