I was deliberately trying to keep Vidnik simple. There is a call to
Quicktime that you could easily add that brings up the A/V source
prefernce dialog box, that lets you set the audio and the video
connection, to choose among multiple hardware devices. It also allows
you to write the state to a data block that can be saved with your
preferences, and reloaded the next time Vidnik runs, so the change
would persist from run to run.

I made a deliberate decision not to complicate the user interface by
adding that call to Vidnik.

If you run off the end of Vidnik, consider modifying the source (I'd
love to receive suggested patches), Quicktime Player Pro, or iMovie.
