Just to get a video up there, i converted it to an MP4 then manually
upload video to YouTube... It took longer to do... but at least the
original videos that i recorded in Vidnik I was able to upload/play/
fix.

Sigh. That's exactly what I've been trying, that I can't get to
actually fix the problem.

Vidnik is already recording in MPEG4 format.

If you open the movie with Apple's sample code program: Movie Video
Chart, you'll see that some movies have an edit list track that causes
the first displayed frame to be other than the actual first frame of
media, and of _those_ movies, some have a first frame that is not a
"sync" frame. It is only those movies that give problems when
transcoded by YouTube.

FlattenMovie is documented as applying the edits, so that the first
media frame is the actual first frame of the movie, but in my tests it
just copies the original movie, edits and all.

Hmm, Thanks! I'll try my tests again, just using a .mp4 extension on
the filename and see if that helps. I'll also try the more complex way
of calling [movie writeToFile:newPath withAttributes:attr error:errp]
where I specify a specific movie exporter component, and a settings
atom.

Specifics/examples if needed:

original video...

then converted video... (converted using QuickTime Pro, Perhaps its
something that QuickTime is doing upon reconverting video)

You'll figure it out David! I do love the software! Keep up the
great work.

Blessings,
