Arnold Worldwide has an immediate opportunity for a Business Affairs Manager with experience traditional and online advertising and an interest in working with exciting clients on large-scale engagements.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain rights and clearances for all media, print, radio, interactive and television productions
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of all aspects of talent payment and SAG, AFTRA contracts
- Supervise network clearance and initiate all legal clearances
- Negotiate music and all related contracts and licenses for all productions
- Research, review and resolve legal issues relating to agency produced content including, print concepts, TV scripts, logos, and taglines to avoid copyright, trademark, and privacy infringement.
- Review all materials produced by the agency in respect to adhering to FTC regulations.
- Draft all indemnification agreements, rights transfers and other legal documents pertaining to the agency client relationship outside of the mainframe agreement.
- Negotiate celebrity and over-scale talent, talent/model contracts and music licensing contracts.
- Monitor production budgets and assist producers with production contracts, licensing rights, purchase orders, invoices, etc.
- Secure clearance/permission for use of intellectual property within creative materials.
- Respond to all SAG claims within contract time frames.
- Consult with outside legal counsel when needed
Requirements:
3+ years experience with the following:
- All aspects of broadcast and print production
- Talent negotiation, production , music and licensing contracts and payments
- SAG, AFTRA contracts, FTC regulations
- Obtaining legal clearances, negotiating music & related contracts/licenses
- Drafting indemnification agreements and rights transfers, resolving legal issues relating to agency produced content, working with outside legal counsel
