Hi,

I'm going to keep this short, what is left to do for Thunderblade?

I want to clean up a couple things with bulk playing some media types:

http://community.mediabrowser.tv/permalinks/498/play-all-and-random-don-t-work-with-ripped-media

http://community.mediabrowser.tv/permalinks/1256/shuffle-play-on-a-tv-series

Other than that I don't have a lot I want to do in MB core.  I do think we need to get a pre-build out to the testers again because of the addition of file watching and image processing.  Both of those could have hidden gotchas in some systems.

Ok cool, I would like to see a pre-release soon if we can aim to get something out to testers within the week that would awesome. That way we have potentially 2 weeks of testing (bugfixes) until the release window.

I don't really have much going on in terms of MB, just putting some final touches on Diamond v3 and just testing the heck out of the plugin architecture.

If the config for themes is working properly we should probably pull
out the Show Config Button & Alpha Blending Settings, out of the main
release which I think are only used by my themes, possibly Chocolate
since it was based off of Vanilla although I'm not sure.

As for my themes the new Vanilla is pretty much finished I think
almost all bugs have been squashed thanks to the help of some of the
users. Maelstrom beta should be released this week, which should not
have as many problems because of lessons learned from Vanilla.
Harmony should also be ready by Thunderblade release aswell.

Other than that the only fix I need to implement on the core side is
to have the Item.Series send back a blank Item if none is found
instead of null. Because MCML does not like nulls. This only happens
to a select few who don't follow the proper TV Show hierarchy.

The only other real problems I see and that have been reported by
users are :
- Image caching needs to optimized somehow (slow loading of posters,
banners & backdrops).
- Memory Management needs optimization (Hogging of Memory).

I know a lot of people of held back migrating from 2.0.11 for the
first problem in particular. I was in the same boat for a while but
eventually the added features and improvements just out weighed the
annoyance.

I haven't spent any time looking at this, but my intuition tells me those
two items are going to be mutually exclusive...

Possibly, this part is definitely not my strong suit, personally I
don't really care about the memory aspect as much, if it takes a 1GB
or 2GB so be it, I'm not really running anything else in parallel.
For me its the slow load time which is the reason why all these timers
had to be put in for focusing. In 2.0.11, I only ever had a problem
with focusing was when the cache was initially being built for the
first time. After that restarting MB and and navigating around would
never result in a focusing issue since the poster load was instant and
MCML would use the FocusOrder well since the scroller was there to
focus on.

Are we ready to distribute a build for beta testers?

I think so.

Sam or Eric, can one of you create a build for the beta testers? as I don't trust my build machine at the moment to do this myself.

Thanks
