On this subject, Id like to mention stuff in the iTunes preferences,
advanced tab. Next to play videos option, there is a dropdown menu
with the choices 'in the main window' 'in a seperate window' and
'fullscreen'. This sets the default, so videos will start playing in
new window or fullscreen without having to doubleclick the artwork
part of itunes or press the fullscreen button every time.
Also in my fullscreen mode its fully fullscreen, there is no button to
restore the window to normal size because its not a window, its the
whole screen.
Its true that you can resize the 'in a seperate window' view of videos
in itunes, so that it fills the whole screen or as much of it as youd
like, but this isnt the same as fullscreen mode because you still see
window border & window control buttons.
Anyway none of the above helps with the bug that makes the apple
podcast directory previewing no good for video at the moment.
Actually for me this bug is even worse, are you saying that you can
see the currently previewing video, if you click it on the podcast
directory list and then switch to library tab? For me this doesnt
work, if I switch to library whilst previeing a podcast/video, the
artwork section is empty because its related to whats playing in the
library at that moment, not the podcast directory.
Is this functionality identical on PC and Mac? Im using itunes on the Mac.
