I recently bought the registration key because I wanted to download YouTube as MP3. Unfortunately VDH fails on my completely now. It still worked fine about a month ago. Whatever I do, it stays stuck at 0%. Meaning, when I click on the Blue 1, it shows the file downloading at 0%.
I tried already many things to fix it, inducing reinstalling the addon as well as the companion App. I also searched the forums, but I can't fix it.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I'm using v7.3.5 in FF 62.0.3 on macOS Mojave.

Purchasing the license is unlikely to cause this issue.

Did you try:

- reloading the page
- clearing the page + reloading the page
- restarting the browser

Yes I did all that. Just in case I just restarted my system and tried again. Still stuck at 0%.

FWIW, if this is the TED talk video then I was able to make it work on this platform:
Video DownloadHelper 7.3.5
Platform Mac x86-64
OS X 10.13.6
Browser Mozilla Firefox 62.0.3
Companion App installed
Found companion app: VdhCoApp 1.2.4

I was able to download the first 3 files in the list successfully. I have had occasional download issues in the past that were usually resolved by killing all Firefox processes from Apple's Activity Monitor. Sometimes Firefox seems to get confused ... restarting it seems to help.

Ok, thanks for looking into it. I'm going to try to reinstall VDH and the companion App again. Already tried that before but who knows.

I could download video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ch5FJAqLMk without any particular problem. If YouTube had changed its mechanic in such a way that VDH cannot download from that site any more (and it happened in the past), i can tell there would be hundreds of people in this forum complaining about that.

I am not too sure whether reinstalling VDH and the CoApp will help, maybe it's worth a try, but before doing that, i suggest opening VDH settings and pick the option "Reset settings" from the drop-down menu, in case you inadvertently changed something in settings that is now causing your problem.

I understand, I'm a bit puzzled that I'm the only one and that it still worked a couple of weeks ago. Anyhow, I did the settings reset but it didn't help. I'm going to try a reinstall later today. I'll let you know the result.
