After installing the latest version of Mozilla Firefox, when you start the Video DownloadHelper, an error occurred: "Forbidden request header name". How can I fix it?

What version of Firefox and Video DownloadHelper are you using exactly ?

I'm  using Mozilla Firefox v. 58.0 (64-bit) and Video DownloadHelper v. 7.1.2

No one else  reported this error (yet ?) and VDH7.1.2/Firefox 58.0 is currently deployed over about 2 million computers.

Can you give more details, including screenshots of the error ?

Same here...maybe the problem comes from the vpn or the webRTC leak shield??

Guess I got it... I just disabled the Vpn, the webRTC shield AND THE FREE DOWNLOAD MANAGER. The extension now is working juuuust fine. ;)

Any chance you could disable those features separately so we would know which one was causing the problem ?

Since writing the last comment, it's even worse - if I try to download a video, in a new window appeared a message (screenshot 1) with a proposition to install the update. But all attempts to download this update is failure - loading is stops at the beginning. VPN is not installed on my system.
How to be in this situation?

Sorry Alex, but why don't you just follow the instructions and update to the required coapp version or give details on why you cannot do so ?

As I wrote in the previous message, I can not update to the required coapp because the download does not end. I made more than one attempt, but the download stops.

The coapp install file is linked from https://www.downloadhelper.net/coapp-install but hosted on github.com a very popular and reliable site. The problem is not to be searched on the server side.

If you cannot download a ~30MB binary file, i guess you must have plenty other issues when using your browser. Maybe it is time to run diagnostics on your machine.

It's not that my computer has broken down, because with other sites, the servers are loading normally. And I have no other problems - neither with the browser, not with the computer. But I already decided the problem - downloaded another application for downloading files.

Happy to read you have finally been able to download an application from the Web.

I already wrote above - with your application stopped downloading the content of only one site. so do not be rude and behave in a boorish way. I hope that I just seemed.

I didn't mean to be rude.

But your last comment "
your application stopped downloading the content of only one site" now makes me wonder what your problem was:

1/ you were not able to download the coapp from https://www.downloadhelper.net/install-coapp/

2/ you were not able to use the add-on + coapp to download a video

All of your assumptions were correct:
1 / I could not download coapp from https://www.downloadhelper.net/install-coapp/

2 / I was not able to use the add-in + coapp to download the video.
I just tried it on your link again and I did it !!!
Many thanks to you both for the application and for the fact that you have not refused to help! I wish you every success! Now I can use it again as I used to. It is simple and convenient.

Oops, I'm sorry, but the error is: "Download error. Forbidden request header name "appeared again ... What should I do to make it disappear?

Where do you get this error exactly (a screenshot might help) ? Downloading what video ? With browser or coapp (if you are given the choice) ?

That's a network error. VDH cannot do much more than reporting this error to the user.
