I've used Video DownloadHelper for years, but with the last 3 - 5 videos I have downloaded, I have been unable to get a transcript in Otter.

The error I receive says "invalid or corrupted file" even though I can see the video and hear the audio.

My sole purpose in downloading a video is to get a written transcript - has anyone else experienced this issue and resolved it?

Thanks,

Mindy

I've never heard of Otter but it seems to me you'd be better served by posting in the Otter support forum, if there is such a thing.  I'm suggesting that your issue is with Otter, not VDH, so you should look for help from Otter support, not here.

Re: Otter: When Opera browser chose to change from their own rendering engine to Chromium Blink it was done in such a way that many users where unhappy. The end result was three new browser projects - Vivaldi, Otter and Fifth browser. Fifth is either dead or in coma (i think it was a one-person project), Vivaldi is alive and kicking, and Otter is still alive. Development seems to still be done on Otter, but only in small circumstances. Otter does have a forum, which can be found by googling. It might be worthwhile to post a question on their forum.
