I'm using VDH with Firefox.  Suddenly, every video that I try to export is "queued".  Notsure why that is.

My queue size is set to 6,but I don't know how to see what's in the queue,so I can delete what may not be needed.

How can I browse and manage the queue?

Thanks for any help.

Every video you try to export? That's rather unusual terminology. VDH doesn't export
videos; it downloads them. Do clarify what you're talking about.

Assuming you meant to say you're downloading videos, you can look at what's in progress
by opening the VDH menu from the icon in the browser tool bar. At the bottom of the
menu, you should see a blue spot with a number in it. The blue spot appears only when
you have downloads in progress. You can also see the blue spot if you have downloads
queued up. The number within the blue spot is the number of downloads in progress plus
the number of queued downloads waiting to start. Click the blue spot. That gives you
the VDH progress menu. It will show estimated time to completion of any running
downloads. It will also indicate which downloads may be queued. Since you say your
queue size is 6, it should not delay download of any new download request unless you
already have 6 downloads in progress.

Now, there are situations in which I have seen VDH think it has a download in progress
when it actually does not. I call these zombie downloads. You can tell that VDH is
doing something by looking in the Windows Resource Monitor. (You didn't say what
operating system you're running so I'll talk about Windows since that's what I know.)
The Resource Monitor has a handful of tabs, one of which is labelled Network. That tab
will show you the bandwidth usage of each VDH download individually in the Network
Activity pane, & the cumulative bandwidth usage of VDH in the Processes with Network
Activity pane. (Of course, that window also shows you everything else on your system
that is using your Internet connection.) If the VDH status menu claims it is downloading
something but the Resource Monitor tells you otherwise, the Resource Monitor is telling
you the truth & VDH is lying. VDH is showing you zombie downloads.

There are a few ways to clear zombie downloads. You can disable & re-enable VDH in the
Firefox settings. You can close all browser windows. Or you can do the best thing:
reload the extension. Reload extension is a function in the More... menu of the VDH
settings dialog. All 3 of these approaches clear the VDH queue. But you must understand
that it not only deletes queued up downloads but it also abruptly terminates any
non-zombie downloads you may have in progress. Those would have to be restarted from
scratch.

Before you post again, there are some rules of netiquette that you should follow. Click

Be sure you carefully read the first 2 paragraphs there. Once you have read that, you
can check out the references within that web page that I am about to give you. But don't
just find the relevant link & click it. READ the context around the link. I recommend
you bookmark that link & read the entire page, if not now, if not in one sitting, bit by
bit over time.

Unsuspecting users have been caught out by a rather stupid design choice made by Google.
The way thread pages are displayed here is controlled by a symbol that appears in the
upper right part of every discussion page of Google Groups, the page I cite above being
but one among the thousands of examples. Actually, some shorter pages don't have it.
But almost all pages do. The symbol looks like an upside down V above a V. Or it looks
like a V above an upside down V. Hover your mouse over that to make a tooltip appear.
Then click the symbol. Then keep hovering there to see how the tooltip changes. Click
the symbol a few times to get an idea of what it does. You want that symbol to look like
a V above an upside down V. If it's the other way, click the symbol. Once it looks like
a V above an upside down V, then you'll be able to read the thread. Why that thing even
exists is beyond me. I point all this out because every so often, somebody doesn't know
about this & it makes my advice here seem baffling. It's not baffling. Google Groups is
baffling. This is how to make it all make sense.

You find a reference on that web page by searching the text of that page using various
search keys. The search keys I am suggesting are these:

stealth quote
short tutorial
using gmail to post here

Next, look for "stealth quote" within the text of that web page. That will give you
another link to click. Click that, read what you find, & follow the advice, not just for
your posts in this thread, not just for your posts in this forum, but for your posts
anywhere on Google Groups.

Next, look for "short tutorial" within the text of that web page. That explains why your
response here will use the Reply all button. It also explains why you will NOT use the
Reply to author button.

Next, look for "using gmail to post here" within the text of that web page. That will
give you a couple of links to read, at least one of which is sure to apply to you. Even
if you don't use GMail, even if you use another E-mail tool to post here, even if you
don't post here via E-mail, what it says there about how to construct posts to the group
applies to you no matter how you post here. If you ignore the advice in that reference,
you will appear to be rude. You don't want to be rude, do you?

Willy,

Thanks for the detailed reply.  I apologize for my "loose" terminology.  As I work with lots of software and services, sometimes I kind of lose my place.

I'll take a look at your response and see if this addresses my issue (or any others) and get back to you.

Thanks again.
