Oh wow!  I to use these sites and many more for Asian downloads.  I play the video, and use VDH to "save as" the individual episodes as .MP4 files into specific folders.  I then copy the files to a Flash Drive and view the drama/movie on the TV.  Have been doing this for years.  I stack as much as 20-30 downloads.  I even set up my VDH to not create the .mpr/.part but only the .MP4 files by selecting the reducing the "number of retries" to 0.  Has been working great.  Fortunately I chose to not do the automatic FF and VDH updates after following the many comments about FF57 and VDH7.0 requirement.  I've instructed a group of us to stay put.

Now, for the posters that did switch.  Could you detail describe the issue that you are having with the new FF/VDH.  Does the VDH appear, but no visual of the files to download?  Or, does the download process not create the files in the folder...either the default /dwhelper or you own folder.  Or, is the .mp4 not playable, maybe with no video, audio, or Subs.  PLEASE, detail the failure.  I and many others were just going to wait till the FF/VDH stabilized before trying on one of my other computer.  Big Time BAD!!

Yes, this is big time bad all of a sudden. I grab them exactly the same way as you described. This is what's happening since the update, at least on Kissasian: Everything looks just like it always did. The videos load and play just fine. The download links pop up in VDH just like they always have. But when you download you only get 178kb files that do nothing. I have tried over and over again checking the settings and restarting both FF and the computer but nothing has worked. Oddly enough, VDH still works an YouTube. It's just Kissasian. It's not grabbing them in Chrome either. And I'm in the middle of a drama (sigh).

Smokey... could it possible be the sites not passing the full paths.  I have used kissasian along with watchasian(dramacool) and fastdrama and newasianTV and drama3s along with a really old site called gooddrama.  They all contain different/same dramas at different quality.  Try some of the different sites.

Are you downloading with the "save as" to a folder and not adding the .MP4.  I see where MIG is posting about the 7.0.a3 about some/many of the issues.  Like keeping folders as temp defaults, the extension issue, also about possible not being able to stack the many downloads, say greater than 3....I often do as many as 20+.  I look for the highest quality file across the different sites.  Even changing servers on the same drama sometimes give higher quality or even Hard Subs.  Soft subs do not seem to play back.  I have also downloaded subs and associated it to the Raw mp4.  Watching on TV is the best by using the flash drive.

I'm hoping FF and VDH sort out some of the basics because VDH was the Best!  I'm still on FF56+ and 6.3.3 VDH.

Using the download button (as I have always done) on VDH isn't working since the update. However. by right-clicking on the video and using the "save video as" function, it's working again. It's a little more awkward butit  works just fine. Thank you for your help.

Smokey...I've used many different sites and the rt mouse to download does work.  Many sites have a download button that allows one file at a time.  The great thing with VDH was that ease of identifying files, the default folders and it is just slick and easy. Being able to setup the number of downloads and using a Que style to stack the pick is awesome.  Individual downloads don't let you control a Que, let alone having to change folders every time (like this new FF57).   I know there will be further updates both here and FF.  Since you've responded here, could you post if/when VDH starts working on these sites with the latest release of VDH.  I'm going to be watching for future comments.  This addon is still the Best.

Also Smokey...did you try the other Asian links to see if Kissasian was the only one that the current VDH did not work on?

No, I have not done that yet.I think there are still a lot of bugs to be worked out of the new version. I've never understood why someone thinks they need to fix something that works just fine.I want the old version back.

Smoky...keep trying the updates of FF/VDH.  The main function would be that dramas are either not recognized or that when they get downloaded, the .mp4 is near empty or unplayable.  The next for me is the inability to stack multiple downloads into the Que (read some post that indicate 2-3 max, and must complete before the "save as" box opens......I've stacked 20-30 at a time for the large dramas).  Also, the inability to define a folder that stays for the whole session is bad.  The extension missing issue is not real bad since I'm typing a short name when saving.  I'm sure that VDH will be making every attempt to rectify some of the issues.  Maybe you could post a comment on Kissasian, say in a specific drama, where I could dialog with you outside of this site.  Another way to temp fix your problem is to go back to the previous versions of FF/VDH.

I was wondering if there was any progress with downloading files from similar sites like Kissasian or maybe FastDrama.  I randomly selected "MadDog" from the FastDrama site (had trouble with broken eps#15 from Kissasian and was able to download all 16 episodes (selected 720p quality instead of 320p), stacked into a defined folder with my own titles.  Of course, I'm still on  FF56.0.2 and VDH 6.3.1.  Has anyone that may have updated to VDH 7.0.1a9 or greater tried dramas from sites like this?  Since the downloads are usually single file .MP4, I'm not sure if the other coapp program is required but will probably be best to have for other potential FF57+ issues.  We stack download to folders to transfer to a flash drive and view on the TV.  I use the VDH option to Zero restart and just get a single .MP4 rather than the incomplete .PART file.  That way I can quickly view in PotPlayer to view if the subs are there.  CC or soft subs do not play back after downloads, only hard subs do.

The 16 episodes are located at:   http://fastdrama.co/mad-dog

I finally upgraded to FF 58.0.1, VDH 7.1.2, coapp 1.1.3 and tried downloading single mp4 dramas from the Kissasian and Dramacool sites.  Since I commented before, thought I would update.
   - you must download the coapp, at least 1.1.3 and change the Download Processor to Companion App under the gear settings.
   - I changed the Max concurrent from 6 to 4 to reduce the number processing at one time
   - when you first select the 3 ball icon after playing the video, move the cursor over the right arrow then select, in the next window, check the "use this action as default" before you select "Download"...you will now be presented a SaveAs TAB that you change the folder and file name.  You MUST enter the .mp4 extension on the SaveAs name or file will not play.  You can rename the file to add .mp4 after download is complete
   - with the coapp interface, you can SaveAs into a new folder, have the folder stay up till changed, and download and Que many files.  I had 4 downloads and 6 Queued.  Completed files appear in the box.
   - for tracking the progress, the VDH dialog box's Running Blue button will display the progress, %, file size and time remaining.  There is a slide progress bar too.  The downward pointing arrow tracking that was available in 6.3 no longer exist, unless you choose not to use the coapp.
   - I also checked the AutoPin box in the Settings.  This tracked the completed videos under the Black button on the bottom of the VDH window. The Blue is the Running, and a Red is for Failed/error.  This window cannot be left open for continuous tracking like the previous down pointing arrow.
   - if you choose not to download the coapp, or chose the Browser for the Download Processor, you will need to select the folder name every time you process a file.  Also, the SaveAs box will stop appearing after you max # of downloads (in my case, 4).  You will, however, get a save as box appearing after one of the 4 file finishes.  You would then enter you folder/filename and wait till the next one finishes.  You can stack many downloads, but will only get a SaveAs box appearing after one completes.  No good, especially if you want to Que many files and don't want to wait to enter names.  USE the coapp interface instead....less hassle especial if you are doing many downloads
   -  use the Tab as you "file Dialog"....this pops a new tab on you window for the SaveAs...the Windows choice will pop a new window...but this window is unstable...closes when picking entries

Since I posted here before, I wanted to clarify a statement I made about being able to rename a downloaded file that had no trailing extension to add, something like .mp4.  I have run into a problem with an attempt to change a mis-named file by trying  to change its attributes.  Now, I cannot delete this file, getting an error about the "file not being found in the directory."  Now I can see it in Explorer, the size, but deleting it errors out.  So, unless someone out there can come up with a rock solid process, just delete the file and start over.  A straight Delete, works, before making changes.

Also, some user are mentioning that the SaveAs Tab that opens in FF has been closing on them.  I do not get this to happen.  I do get the separate Window pop-up SaveAs to close after 10sec.  I get this when I chose the the CoApp version and Window file dialog.
