I am considering buying a license for Chrome but I would like to know if it works for downloading videos from Patreon.

I just went to patreon,com. There's what looks like a video at the top of the page.
When I clicked on it, it took me to another page where there was an actual video. It's
less than 2 minutes long. I told VDH to download it & it did in short order. It played
just fine in VLC. This is on Windows 7 64-bit, Firefox 93.0 64-bit, licensed VDH 7.6.3a1
beta, CoApp 1.6.3. I know, you're on Chrome. But VDH is supposed to be basically the
same for Firefox & Chrome.

But I don't believe I've really proven what you need to know. If you are a Patreon
member, I believe that gets you behind their paywall where you can access stuff I cannot.
So you should just try it. You don't need a license to use VDH. Try it. Experiment.
Don't be afraid. Use unlicensed VDH & see if it can download something from behind their
paywall. Then you can tell us whether it works. And if it does, then you can buy a VDH
license.

In fact I am referring to the possibility of downloading videos in a paying premium member area.
