I wouldn't be complaining if the report actually included the time left of the HLS timeout.

Years ago, I would have rated this extension 5/5 but when it fails to implement such a simple feature, rating drops to 2.5/5 as it's a ridiculous omission.

The HLS timeout is used when downloading live streams. If you download only movies, setting this timeout to 0 will save you time when downloading (the duration of this timeout at the end of the download), but if you do so on a live stream, chances are the download stops before the end of the broadcast.

you didn't even read the title of the issue.

I'm referring to this popup, which cannot be configured:

Premium status required
Without Premium status, an HLS download can only be performed 120 minutes after the previous one

Ok, you were talking about the 120 minutes limitation between 2 HLS downloads.
If you switch to Firefox, you won't have that limitation.

not an option. Firefox has trouble finishing writing the last few kb regardless of what I do (fresh profile not helping)

What does that mean exactly ? Is there a failure or error messages. I use it on Firefox & hardly had an issue for HLS downloads.
Maybe share an example that has the issue.

I don't know how to fetch logs, no I am not seeing any error messages but it seems a reboot has solved the Firefox issue.

Anything from https://9anime.to/ wouldn't finish writing when downloading so there would be no thumbnail and if the file was inspected (rightclick -> properties in explorer) there would be missing resolution information
