Hi Willy, Hi to Everyone,
Thanks for your writing in French, in real good quality.
I write here in English so that most readers can understand.
I’ve tried to de-install and re-install the beta version… to no avail. Each time I install, the system says that VDH has installed OK.
But then, I just had an unexplainable surprise. Just a few minutes ago, VDH did work OK downloading a YouTube video. The mp4 downloaded file is OK. But, this worked just once… other videos that I tried next, did not allow downloading, and, stranger yet, the video that did work for download 10 minutes ago, can no longer be downloaded again… VDH does not light colors nor propose any download.
At first, the one video that did VDH download OK, was said to be a ‘LIVE’ video… Maybe it was no longer LIVE when I tried it the second time. In any case, the download, the one that succeeded, operated while still, I mean, not playing, the video was just selected and not started… with the previous stable version of VDH, you definitely had to start the video in order to be able to call VDH and record.
I will make some more trials, also I plan to install the beta version on my other computer running a very old Ubuntu (14.04) and I will post whatever success or failure I have.
Before I post this, I just tried the video that you proposed me to try : This one does work OK… and, just like the previous one, it does record while STILL, no need to have the video running….
This set of 8 screen shots to illustrate what works and what doesn’t, attempting to download YouTube videos using beta version of VDH and Firefox Debian 11

chose from, which usually is the case, VDH shows colors as long as
you haven’t selected any video in particular. http://bdebreil.free.fr/Img1.png http://bdebreil.free.fr/Img2.png
Img3.png : As soon as a video has been selected, VDH icon turns grey and no download is being proposed. http://bdebreil.free.fr/Img3.png http://bdebreil.free.fr/Img3.png
