I've installed the helper app and gone through the two-step process on the Mac.  I'm on a MacBook Pro running Catalina.  The app is installed in Applications.  But I can't get VDH to recognize that it's there.  Couldn't find anything in the forum that helped.  No way to even check where it's looking for it.

Having the same issue regardless of the install method. I'm an admin on the computer and have the latest Firefox and can't install the companion app 1.5.0.

Re-asking Jerome's question: did you install from the .dmg or .pkg package ? If you installed from the .dmg, did you use a user or system wide install ?

Hello! I am having the same issue trying to install the companion app for Firefox on my new laptop (MacBook Pro running Catalina). I used VDH successfully on previous machines for years.) I tried the pkg first, but it wouldn't download at all. I downloaded the dmg successfully and it appears to be in my applications folder, but am getting the same error message: No such native application net.downloadhelper.coapp I did a system-wide install. Help?

hi,

could it be a user issue ? Did you install everything with the same user ?

I managed to open override the warning on the pkg version and install it that way. Cheers!

Using the package version of the installer and overriding the security warning worked for me with 1.6.1.
