I'm trying to download a video on a site and it seems that for some reason Download Helper splits the file in multiple parts as per the screenshot below:

Capture.PNG

Any idea what I should do to download the file?

Thank you

Generally speaking, it is not VDH that splits the content into parts like that. It is
the web site presenting the parts without also offering the information needed to
associate the parts as being drawn from a larger whole. The URL you have in your image
is a bit fuzzy, even when I magnify it. I wouldn't trust myself to transcribe that
correctly. Please put the URL in the text of a post so anybody can visit the page by
simply clicking on the link in your post. I'd be curious to look into this.

The reason I have not posted it is that you would need credentials to access the site. Is there any other option / something I can share?

That does make things a bit more difficult. We can try this. Take a look over here:

https://groups.google.com/g/video-downloadhelper-q-and-a/c/BzPLK2YyL-s

Look for the reference to an alternative technique to try when VDH fails to download
something & click through to that. Follow the instructions there to open the Firefox
Network Monitor. You didn't say what browser you were using & I can't really tell from
your image which browser it is. If you're not using Firefox, I'm not entirely sure what
you need to do. I would hope there's something like the Network Monitor on the other
browsers. Look at that tutorial I just mentioned & see what I did to display the Network
Monitor in Firefox. Maybe that will help you to do the analogous thing in your browser.

Anyway, after you open the Network Monitor, try filtering on .m3u8. That's 5 characters,
including the leading period. Then refresh the page. If nothing shows up, filter on
..mpd instead. Whichever one gives results, double click on it & post it in a text
attachment here. I will be heading towards trying one of the techniques shown in that
other thread, something you might go ahead & try on your own before you post anything
else here. Since you're on a password protected site, you'll probably need to use the
advice that's in that other thread on the subject of supplying a user ID & password in a
URL.

Let me know how you get on.

Oops. The E-mail interface screwed up one of the things I said. The second filter
option should be:

.mpd

Not ..mpd. Four characters, just one period.

Hi,

I can only find .mpd. Here is the content:

Well, we can go through the tedious process of me telling you OK next do this, then a few
days later you come back with whatever, & then I tell you next do that, & a few days
later you come back with another question, & we can go on like that for a few weeks. Or
you can follow the advice I already gave you. Let me quote it:

Do please follow that advice. Read what's in that other thread. All of it, including
other threads that are referred to from there. It should get you to where you need to
be. I can't spoonfeed it to you a step at a time. Go to that other thread & do what it
says there. You have a .mpd file. That's half the battle right there. I show how to
use it in that other thread but you have to put in the effort to read what is over there.
