Greetings,

I'd like to request a feature: Some level of download logging, and the ability to resume incomplete downloads.

I keep accidentally closing my web browser while the app is downloading, which kills the downloads. At present, I cannot find a way to resume downloads after doing this (is there some sort of secret setting I am unaware of?). Which is a pain, as I have to manually check to see what file looks incomplete, and attempt to redownload it. Doubly so, because it kills the queued files as well.

When you have 40+ files you are trying to download, it can drive you crazy!

Thank You,
Ryan

Welcome to the loony bin. These are topics that have come up before. Search this forum
& you should find those discussions. VDH does not resume from the point of failure.
Apparently, it is impossible for reasons I don't entirely understand. Michel explained
it to me a year or two ago somewhere on here. You'll find it if you look hard enough.
Logging is another pet peeve of mine. I've asked for that as well a number of times. We
have no logging of any kind out of VDH. That seems a bit shocking. I'm used to software
that logs its activity but VDH is the exception.

The only thing for it is for you to keep track yourself of the pages you've done
downloads from. Bookmark them, keep a running log in a text file, something more
ingenious that you come up with on your own. Somebody posted on here about some Firefox
extension that enhances the way tabs are handled. I don't remember the name of it,
sorry. Obviously, I don't have it myself.

Bottom line here: you're out of luck.
