Yes, I've tried VLC, PotPlayer, WMP, Media Monkey, GOM.... others. All similar results, but VLC seems best for playback of the specific files output by VDH.
I think the conversion is the best process.
I've used the VDH converter with some success. Some output files are good, some are worse than the originally downloaded file - playback very choppy and strange bit rate streams when analyzing the video.
Also, the converter really pulled a lot of resources from my PCs - typical of video conversion software.
My main PC has a Ryzen 9 5900X and it pulled all cores to 100%, also a little bit of my RTX 3070, strangely.
I also have another PC with an i5 and native graphics- similar results.
I'll experiment more with conversions.
