have video download helper version 7.3.1,, i can not find ver. # fro coapp but was downloaded after being prompted by dwhelper  on 7-2-18.  (i believe it updated from 1.13). I have used dwhelper and the coapp for years on this machine with no problems, there have been no hardware changes, and all drivers were up to date when I checked on 7-3-18.

Since updating the coapp computer will freeze while downloading video's. no blue screen, no error code.  cursor will move on screen but computer will not respond to any mouse clicks or keyboard input.  if i attempt any file format conversion computer freezes instantly, with no file conversion will download a couple of megs but freezes before complete.  After I reboot I look at the download que and it is empty, any files that completed before freeze are in download folder, but partial downloads and qued downloads in the list seem to be gone. Any Ideas?

No one else reported a similar problem. Did you retry download/aggregating/converting after you rebooted your computer ? It's also worth checking the task manager to see if another application is not using a lot of CPU/Memory which would leave the coapp with little resources.

Thank you for your exceptionally quick response.

This problem spread to programs other than dwhelper  so I continued to investigate this issue on my own and discovered a running process called winlogin.exe that was not signed by microsoft. after researching I discovered how this name is commonly used for trojans.  I expunged my computer of all trace of this file and since have had no problems with either dwhelper or any other program.

Thank you for your help but I do not believe your wonderful software was the cause of my issue, and the fact that I updated the coapp on onset was coincidental.
