teachable.com stop working. Why? When fix?

Hello. Yes, I have the same problem, with VDH 8.0.0.7, since yesterday 2023-october-20. The day before, it works fine. I think that Chrome could be updated.

I just tested it with the previous chrome build - 117. No, don't work even in previous chrome version.

What does not working mean ? What companion app version are you guys using ?  How are they streaming the video ?  HLS or Dash ?

Are there error messages ?

In my case, the versions are:

Google Chrome: 118.0.5993.89 (Build oficial) (64 bits)

Video DownloadHelper: 8.0.0.7, with VdhCoApp 1.6.3 and license.

Plattform: Teachable

HLS

Without error messages, only "No media files found in this tab" with the video currently playing.

I have tried on two different computers. The icon is in shades of gray at all times in this plattform. In YouTube it works well. Two days ago it works ok, without changes in the computer.

So no detection, perhaps the site changed something. You could try testing if Firefox has the same result as Chrome.

I just tried it in Firefox, which is version 8.0.0.6 and it works ok. In this case, without a license.

Hello. I just tried the beta version for Firefox and new CoApp, but it stopped detecting the videos in Teachable. Version 8.0.0.6 detected them correctly yesterday. In Chrome, it was version 8.0.0.7 that didn't work.

I have reverted to the previous version, VDH 8.0.0.6 and CoApp 1.6.3 and it works correctly again in Firefox.

It's basically the same advice as what Jérôme gave above but with some more detail. The
topic over there is the Hotmart web site but the same reasoning might -- I say, MIGHT --
apply to teachable. Maybe. But you won't know until you try it. It's a good idea in
any case to get on the latest versions of VDH & the CoApp on general principles. There's
no sense in hitting bugs that have already been solved. The latest release cures a lot
of problems. You owe it to yourself to try it. Even if you don't normally use Firefox,
try it anyway, even without a VDH license. See if it works. Maybe you'll decide to
start using Firefox instead of another browser.
