video files on the dizipal site have been changed to .PNG extension. videos cannot be downloaded. can a solution be found for this site?

I get the same block page, maybe it's restricted to your region in India ? I'm guessing your region. Does the VDH menu has png files ?

yes now I did a test with urban vpn, it works in turkey and it seems to be blocked in others.

You could record your network activity for the video and share it here as a text file attachment. Just open the developer tools and click network.

Make sure it is empty then reload the page for the video. Also let the video run for about 5 seconds then pause. Click the gear button

and click Save all as HAR. I've done this in Firefox, you've not mentioned your browser but the screenshot should help you.

Then we can import it in our own browser, to see how it is being streamed.

Do things in this order.

1. Open a new empty web page.
2. Open the Network Monitor.
3. Enter the URL into the URL bar & hit Enter. Or use a bookmark to surf to the page.

I had never heard of such a tool. Why would anyone want to disable the Firefox developer
tools? I'm not sure I completely understand what you are saying. But I think you are
telling us that you have this tool installed that disables the Network Monitor (my term
for the developer tools). In that case, disable the disabler. Or remove it. I would
never install such a thing. Why do you have it? The Network Monitor is way too useful.
You should make it available for your use.

Willy l don't think you understand, the user is not doing it. Website is doing it.

It sounds like the dreaded paused in debugger that I I've encountered many times. Essentially some sites do this to

stop anyone from fishing around in the network when the developer tools are open. I think l may take a look but I'll need a vpn.

That second link Suat posted shows what happens if you open the developer tools. It prevents you from watching the network.

There is a way to record the network without having the developer tools open, two ways. Using Ublock Origin or Firefox itself.

I did that and still can't figure out what the site is doing. The streaming manifest is hidden away in a script I think. But that's as far as it goes.

It will never work in VDH , the site has made it impossible.  Your options are : find another site or use screen recording software.
