updated 8.0.0.5 is not downloading mp4s on Chrome and MacOS

Thank you for such a wonderful app for the past 10+ years!!

The new VDH 8.0.0.5 version is not downloading mp4 files. The previous version was working at 1:00am EST Aug 23, 2023. I can't even download the same mp4 files I successfully downloaded with the previous VDH version.

Platform Mac x86-64
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11_5) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/103.0.0.0 Safari/537.36

When the VDH icon (in the toolbar) changes to the red/blue/yellow icon, I click on it and then I click on the mp4 file I want to download to start the download, and the icon turns to the black/white icon with a blue "1". Then the "Download Method" dialog window pops up and no matter which option I choose ("Use Browser" or "Use Companion App"), the dialog window doesn't go away and no file is downloaded and the blue "1" is running for a few minutes before the blue "1" finally goes away, and no file is downloaded.

When I click on the icon & blue "1", there is no horizontal  green progress bar to indicate that it's downloading the file.

I hope this helps to resolve the issue. If you want, I can try other options that you suggest to troubleshoot this issue.
