Quite right to not post the link to a private video. There would be no point. Nobody
else here would be able to look at it. You still didn't post a proper problem report.
I went to the page whose link you did give. The video played fine for me in the player
in the web page. I even disabled Digital Rights Management in Firefox & the video still
played, proving this item is not protected by DRM. But VDH just gave an error of 403
Forbidden when I tried to download the video. This tells me this site has a sort of
"stealth DRM" implemented. I am surprised you say you were able to get VDH to work.
I was able to find an HLS master manifest using the Network Monitor. But ffprobe on it
generated the error 401 Unauthorized (authorization failed). This looks to me like the
"stealth DRM" I just mentioned. It looks like the files that are required for a
downloader to perform a download are protected by a user ID & password. Of course, the
user ID & password are not published. This is different from your user ID & password on
your education site. This is a video that can be played without doing a logon. I have
encountered situations like this before. The only solution is a screen recording
application, OBS being one such but there are others.
On balance, I would say VDH is not going to work for you on this site. There's no point
in getting a VDH license if this is the only site you want to download from. A VDH
license won't make this suddenly work. I do have a VDH license & it didn't work for me.
Now, if you are going to use VDH on other sites, there are lots of those on which it will
work. That would justify a purchase of a VDH license.
As for web sites changing the way they do things, it happens all the time. It is not
surprising in the least that such changes cause VDH to stop working when it had worked
fine before the change. Sometimes, the change is expressly for the purpose of thwarting
downloading. Oh well. Such is life.
You could look into trying some of the things we outline over here:
https://groups.google.com/g/video-downloadhelper-q-and-a/c/sNfTCMYfiTU
You might luck out & find one of those approaches works. But you are pretty much on your
own with that. Only you can log into that education web site & try what we describe over
there.
Good luck.
