For some reason, all of a sudden, video files are now autoplaying on my designated app VLC, right after a file has downloaded. Is there a way to stop this from happening?

I'm confused. Autoplay after download is not a feature of VDH. Are you sure you do not re-click the video entry in the VDH menu after it has been downloaded ? This would indeed "execute" the downloaded file, i.e start the default player.

I figured out what I did. In the downloading panel, I must have selected, "Always open files of this type". I unchecked it, and now files don't automatically open once downloaded.
