The pull-down menu for downloading has been in English for a few days now. Until then it was in German for many years. How do I get "German" back?

The addon uses the language of the browser. Do you confirm your browser is in German and the extension in English?

The browser language has always been German, even now.

This does not sound like a VDH problem, but rather a browser problem. The attached image
shows where you control the language of Firefox. I have to assume there's something
similar in the other browsers.

I suspect the companion application VdhCoApp 2.0.10 in Firefox. Interesting is: Only the first three menu entries are in English (see picture).
I have now uninstalled the CoApp under Windows Control Panel. At the moment this has not made any difference.
I will restart the whole system at the weekend and then try again.

Now that you've shown exactly what you're seeing, I have to agree with you that it looks
like a VDH problem. I suspect the browser extension itself, not the CoApp. The CoApp
doesn't generate the VDH menu that appears in the browser. That has to be the VDH
extension. It looks like they made the legacy parts of VDH language compliant long ago.
But the Side things are new & it looks like they forgot to do the same thing to those new
menu entries. My guess is this is going to be quite easy, almost trivial, to fix.

So now I think the devs have something to go on. Since I'm not a dev, in fact I don't
work for VDH, I can't do anything about this. I'm just another user, like you.

If you only have translations problems with new items it is normal (that's the case here, these are three new entries).

Translations are provided by the community who update them via another google group : https://groups.google.com/g/video-downloadhelper-internationalization

It may take some time to be updated.
