I want to download files from the ARTE Mediathek in Germany.

(WIN 10 PC)

The menu shows several options (attached image), I tried them all but get no complette result. If one the video is without sound.

I know it worked some time ago. I am not an expert, just a user. I would like to find a solution or is it a general problem?

Any information and help would be nice. Thank you.

When you say you tried them all do you mean the ones that have a resolution of which there are four to choose. Or did you also try ones which

don't have a resolution. One of those could be the audio you need. And if you want others to try it out then share a link if you can.

While I opened the page and looked vor the vdh options things have changed within minutes!!! Very irritating.

Looks like this now:

I was able to download the 2nd option which is an audio file. Maybe the other one is the video. Download is on work.

How can I detect the video's solution?

If so , how can I merge the files?

I tried to have a look but I'm not allowed : Dieses Video ist in lhrem Land nicht verfugbar

Anyway the larger one looks like the video in your second screenshot. There is a merging tool in the add-on:

Yes, I am in Germany - that will make the difference in appearance.

Depending on what you want to do, it is not necessary to merge the audio-only file with the video-only file. Have a look over here:

Do a string search on "synchronously" in there, click the link you'll find, & read up on how to do it. The thread contains some discussion of other topics but the tutorial is in there in 2 forms: as a series of images as well as only text,
