Message "MP2T - No data received" - Version 8.0.0.6 ext on Firefox

 Hi, I've been having a problem with the 8.0.0.6 extension on Firefox for 5 days. The video seems to be downloaded but at the end the message "No data receive" appears and the detail reports for example:

I've already looked into xhamster previously and had no problem. It didn't matter if that setting was enabled or not.

Until yesterday it worked with Chrome and Edge and didn't work on Firefox
As of yesterday afternoon it doesn't work on any of the three browsers
It seems to download the file and in the end the error is always on MP2T

On Edge it downloaded a .m2ts file that I can open. With Chrome I download the .m2ts file which doesn't open.
Before (always) the files he downloaded were .mp4

@Brownie, I checked the link & it is a fragmented mp4 stream. Only the Firefox beta 8.1.0.0a5 + companion app 2.0.4 can work with it.

What mjs was trying to say was VDH for Firefox 8.1.0.0a5 beta with CoApp 2.0.4. You need
both. When you install that beta of VDH, there is a congratulations page. Don't dismiss
it. Read it carefully. Side downloading is explained there. There is also an extra
step that is mentioned there but it's a bit cryptic. To decode the encryption, search
this forum for a thread with the title, "How to download from YouTube." Within that
thread, the cryptic extra step is explained in full detail with screenshots in a post
dated July 17.

- Windows 8.0+ Intel/64bits installer
vdhcoapp-2.0.4-windows-x86_64-installer.exe

and of
- vdhcoapp-2.0.4-windows-x86_64-installer

Now on Firefox I have what you see in the attachment.

But it does not work.

The error message is:
"Requested download of chunked stream but not chunked found"

While first it tried to download and only at the end it sent an error message like:

I think you chose the wrong action. It has to be one of the side download actions. Also if you have M2TS enabled then disable this.

On the right hand side of the detected video resolutions is another button, click that to go into another menu.

Then you choose quick side download or side download. Tick the box down the bottom to make one of these actions the default.

I have the same issue with Brownie.

I was able to download video from the website but today.

The Fire Fox and VDH version is up to date.

There is no "side download " option for me.

Brownie posted an image above of the first page of his VDH settings. Giant, you need to
do the same. Also, I must point out something I said above. Look for my reference to a
post dated July 17. You guys have to make sure you execute that extra step. It's not
just a comment in passing. It is a CRITICAL step that you MUST execute. I visited the
link Brownie posted above on October 21 in the post that is marked for abuse because he
did not censor the link. You should have posted the link in an attached image.
Attached. Not in line. Attached. In an image, not text. That's how you avoid getting
your posts flagged for abuse by the Google bots. In any case, I visited that link &
without even launching playback on the page, VDH recognized the video. Using Side
Download, it downloaded in less than 1 minute. Resource Monitor was telling me I was
getting over 9 million bytes per second download speed. The video played fine in VLC,
with both video & audio, although I just skimmed through it to make sure it was all
there.

It is a skill worth acquiring to read all instructions carefully & them follow them to
the letter.

Only one problem, even if I choose the "check box - using this action as default", this does not remain active and therefore I have to choose it every time I do a download. (see Attachment)

That is strange. I have set Side Download as my default & it sticks. It can be a bit
confusing because on some sites, you'll see both Side & old-fashioned variants on the VDH
menu. In those cases, you should always prefer the Side functions. But evidently there
are sites that VDH even now does not recognize as being possible to perform the Side
functions. On those sites the only variants VDH presents are the old-fashioned type.

It occurs to me that there is something that is perhaps a bit non-intuitive about the
default action. You click the default action box, then perform let's say a Side
Download. Next time you look at the secondary menu, the check box is not checked. This
is normal. The idea is that you can change your mind & make a different selection for
your default action any time you like. If the box is already checked, how would you
change your mind? So if the box is not checked, don't worry about it. After you check
the box & do a first Side Download, next time you use VDH, don't cascade out the submenu.
Just click on your chosen variant. It will open the file selection dialog, skipping the
secondary VDH menu, & you can proceed to launch the download. Once the download actually
starts, switch over to the Resource Monitor. You will find proof there which kind of
download VDH is doing. If the download is labelled as being by ffmpeg.exe, that's VDH
doing a Side Download. If the download is labelled as being by vdhcoapp.exe, that's VDH
doing an old-fashioned download.
