Can Video DownloaderHelper capture SBS On Demand or ABC iView video streams (Australia)

Cannot answer for sure without the exact URL, but you should give a try with version 5.4.0 https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/video-downloadhelper/versions/ which has support for F4F streaming often used on catch-up TV sites.

I had version 5.3.1 and needed to update to 5.4 to get the support for streaming F4F files. Now all is well.

This is on-going issue. For a while the latest version of Video DownloadHelper seemed to work. But now supposedly because my target sites have changed technology this tool sadly is no longer (it seems) able to capture video.
Please advise if can be done with http://iview.abc.net.au/programs/abc-news-vic/NN1607V133S00#playing and http://www.sbs.com.au/ondemand/video/690652227918/sbs-world-news-3-june
Need to be able to download news items from these two sites....

Here in Australia SBS OnDemand videos are accessible (http://www.sbs.com.au/ondemand/news) but those from the ABC network on iView (http://iview.abc.net.au/programs) now are not. If I got the Premium version with things be any different? I am using Version 6.0.0a10

No, the premium license only addresses conversion for any video you can download and aggregation for YouTube ADP variants. Free and premium versions work exactly the same way when it comes to capturing chunked streams.

I highly recommend Allavsoft which can batch downoad videos from ABC iView, Tenplay, SBS on Demand, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Spotify etc.

Allavsoft can help. Simply copy and paste the sbs on demand url or abc iview video url to Allavsoft and click Download button.
