Settings not saving on Edge

Hello,
I'm using the 8.0.0.6 version on Microsoft Edge, and recently the addon has lost the ability to persistently change the default settings for using the companion app by default, or setting the download directory. These, and possibly other, settings are getting reset back to the default "Ask" and "dwhelper" options on every browser restart. I've made sure to click save on the setting screen and that is definitely not the issue, I also made sure that my user profile folder is not set to read only so that isn't the issue either.

There is a problem with it not retaining settings after closing Edge so the devs will have to look into it and issue a fix.
