Hello,

My Video DownloadHelper has just updated itself to the latest version 8.1.4.0.
This version required the update to the Companion app 2.0.10 which I also did.

Everything was working perfectly before the latest update, but now the HLS stream downloading is not working any more.

I'm only getting error messages like this:

GrabInfo: Cannot get info from https://sbb-bg-ku-s2-3.ug-be.cdn.united.cloud/stream/playlist/hls/?session=e54f2e01-8951-4150-a2b3-c8ea7e9d83c6&stream=hp3500&player=m3u8:Exit code: null dyld: cannot load 'ffprobe' (load command 0x80000034 is unknown) moz-extension://e05a6722-c0dd-7d4a-908d-c09e2e7d0e75/background/main.js:31 cn</grabInfo/<@moz-extension://e05a6722-c0dd-7d4a-908d-c09e2e7d0e75/background/main.js:31:88385

Yesterday, before the update, I was downloading HSL streams from the same source without any problems.

I'm on an Intel Mac (OS 10.14.6) with the latest version of Firefox (115.6.0).
Video DownloadHelper version is 8.1.4.0, Companion app is 2.0.10.

I know that the Companion app says that the MacOS version should be at least 10.15, but everything installed fine and the dowloading of other types of videos works ok.

Is there a way to go back to the older Video DownloadHelper version that worked OK for me?

Or something can be fixed with this version?

Best regards,
Aleksandar

There is one thing you can try. No guarantees that this is your solution but there's no
harm in doing this, even if you've done it before. Search this forum for a thread with
the title:

How to download from YouTube

That search will generate multiple hits because I have referred to that thread multiple
times here. You need to pay attention to the TITLE of the thread. The one you want has
the exact title as I've just shown it. Once you find that thread, look inside it for a
post dated July 17. There are instructions there with screenshots of a step that you
must have taken at least once. Follow those instructions & do that step. It doesn't
hurt to do that any time at all & any number of times. Maybe it's unnecessary but it
doesn't mess anything up no matter how many times you do it, although you should do it
just once for now. Let us know if that makes any difference.
