I would like to come back to you and tell you how fast and efficient the Edge add-on team was at fixing the problem they created by blocking by mistake our extension this week-end (they only blocked access to the companion app, but in this case then entire extension is almost unusable), but the truth is that it's not going well.
At this point, the problem has very certainly be identified and is due to a mistake from the Edge add-on team. They are a bunch of people at microsoft involved into the resolution but mostly managers and it looks like the tech guy who is supposed to push the button to actually fix the problem is either homesick or on his way to another job.
They stopped communicating so i cannot tell you when the issue will be solved even if 2 days ago i would have say "it's certainly a matter of hours".
Having worked closely for 15 years with Firefox add-ons team and for 5 years with the Chrome team, i can tell that such a situation that blocks over 100,000 users would not happen or at least there will be a reason that would be communicated.
Let's hope that the organisational issue the Microsoft Edge team is facing will improve in the future and they will tend to what we have on other more mature browsers like Firefox and Chrome.
