Video downloader offers to download various video and audio MP4 streams, but none of them work.  Can you please support this site in a future version?

Thank you.

Perhaps VDH does support the site. It would be helpful if you posted a proper problem
report. Take a look over here:

https://groups.google.com/g/video-downloadhelper-q-and-a/c/BzPLK2YyL-s

Look for the references to how to report a problem, click through to those, read what's
there, & follow the advice you find there. Then somebody else (possibly me, possibly
others) could try the site & see how we get on. Maybe we'll confirm your claim that VDH
doesn't work on the site. Maybe we'll discover VDH works just fine on the site. But you
haven't posted enough information for anybody else to determine what's up with this.

I can fill in some more information regarding this:

macOS 12.5.1 m1
Any browser, for example Edge 104.0.1293.70 (Officiell version) (arm64)
Video DownloadHelper Version 7.6.0.0
VdhCoApp 1.6.3
License: Yes

Right now you can't DL the video, you only see small snippets of video in VDH, a few KB each.

Solutions:
Manual method
ffmpeg -i "https://theURLtoTheManifestYouCopiedHere" -codec copy downloadedVideo.mp4
Auto method

Can't post any links due to company policy. Above info and code will probably provide all necessary info.

If you've already figured out how to do this with ffmpeg, you don't need any advice here.
It is likely I would have come to the same conclusion. But that's a guess since you
can't share a URL. You will probably just have to rely on ffmpeg for this site & forget
about VDH. Let me add another guess. I have seen sites that VDH recognizes as only
small chunks. Those sites have quite often used DASH streaming. Michel has posted
somewhere here in this forum (I don't feel like searching for it, maybe you do) that
there are at least 2 different conventions for presenting content as DASH streams & VDH
supports the one used on YouTube. But most other sites use the other approach, which VDH
does not handle. You have clearly found the way to deal with this using ffmpeg. If the
manifests you are finding are of type mpd, then you are doing what you have to do. Be
glad you have found an acceptable solution. Accept it & forget about using VDH on that
site.
