Hello,
Its since I upgraded NVidia driver to version 373.06 !
May it  be, that this is the problem? Recordings from other sides like Jasmin.com are still working.
Firefox and Downloadhelper are up to date. Recordings elder than 21.10.2016 from Cam4 and Chaturbate were always working.
When i now record videos from these both sides, filesize is very much smaller than before, no wonder , cause they just show grey, black or white screens. Are there others too, who have this problem ?

It works for me on Chaturbate, but we noticed this issue a few times on other sites: the Flash component (playing the video) uses low level drivers to render the frame and since the refresh happens directly into the GPU, the actual images are not accessible to the browser (hence to VDH).

You should try to disable Flash hardware acceleration: right click on the playing video and pick "Settings". If it's disabled, change the Global settings: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager.html

Hello mig,
OK, I have disabled hardware acceleration in "Settings". Nothing changed.
But what shall I now do in "Global Settings"?

I was having problems with screen capture/window recording from chaturbate and mfc. Only thing I found worked was to install an older version of download helper version 5.3.1.1 and it works once again for me anyways. Still just video no audio of course. Only difference I could see in the settings from the older version is an MPT2 streaming setting. Not sure if that's what makes the difference or if it was excluded in the newer updates or what but that's the only difference I see. Hope it helps with your downloading problems and to make future updates work in this manner once again.

There are 2 issues with screen captures:
  • the screen capture (of a page region) does not work on 6.1.1 when e10s is enabled. This has been fixed in the latest development release 6.2.0a5 (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/video-downloadhelper/versions/) and that fix will be in 6.2.0.
  • in some situations (depending on the display drivers, OS/Flash/Firefox version), the video is rendered in the GPU and it cannot be captured on the screen. In this case you obtain a uniform grey/white/black video. You can try to disable the hardware acceleration in Flash
The screen capture does not depend on the streaming protocol being used (since the capture is done directly from the screen).

5.3.1.1 & 6.2.0a5 doesn't work either, no matter if hardware acceleration is disabled or not.
How can I disable e10s and what does it ?

e10s is short for Electrolysis, a recently introduced Firefox feature that allows the browser to run over several processes. Open URL about:support and search for parameter Multiprocess Windows. If it is 1/1 e10s is enabled, otherwise (0/1) it's disabled.

This means e10s is not activated for you (Mozilla increases the number of e10s users progressively).
Anyway, if you capture grey videos, this is not a e10s related problem but a video driver one.
Stepping back one or several Adobe Flash versions might solve the issue, but i'm reluctant to give you that advice for security reasons.
The only thing i can think of right now is to check what you can configure in your NVidia video drivers (maybe stepping back versions ?)

Hello,
finally I just found out the reason for my problem.
It was  the plugin "Flash downloadhelper". Don't know why I had this one implementet, didn't use it anyway. It was just there !
Since I deactivated it, all is fine again. I also wondered about slow Internet for many weeks with Firefox which I hadn't with IExplorer.
Now veverything works fine again. I am very happy now. Thank U all for Your advisements.
Bye, bye
