I picked something at random from there & downloaded it no problem. I'm using Windows 7
64-bit, Firefox 98.0.2 64-bit, licensed VDH 7.6.3a1 beta, CoApp 1.6.3. You might post
what you're running. People regularly report problems on PH but I've never been able to
replicate them.
It's possible that you need to adjust your timeout parameters in the VDH Settings. Those
would be Download retries & Retry delay on the Behavior tab of the VDH Settings dialog.
There's so many reasons why a download can be interrupted, things like transient line
noise, momentary delays in service from the serving web site, transient interference from
other applications running on your system, momentary pauses in connectivity caused by
your ISP, and so on. These are all guesses & there's no way to get evidence of any of
them after the fact . . . or even at the time, for that matter. But you should try
increasing your timeout values. I've got mine set at 30 retries at 10,000 milliseconds
between retries. That works out to 5 minutes. That should be plenty of time to handle
any transient problems.
Be careful what you post here. We just spent a week in the dungeon for supposedly
inappropriate content of some sort. Nobody knows what caused this but the group was
banned by Google & we're not entirely sure what got us back on the air, either. So be
very careful with what you post here.
And since it's a knee-jerk habit with me . . .
